The nonstop precipitation has me in a bit of a funk, but natural born styler brightened up my day. Her rainproof ensemble makes me want to start singin' in the rain. She refrained from featuring the per-usual rain jacket and galoshes, and, instead, chose a pair of patent boots, skinny trousers, Lichtenstein sweater, and fringe poncho complete with a clear, kitschy umbrella!

We've been hit with crazy rainstorms over the past 24 hours in the Bay Area, prompting flooding, school closures, and one tough commute. Instead of focusing on the perils of our first major storm, I thought I'd focus on the pretty instead. See some of my favorite rainy day-inspired finds.

From backpacks to lunchboxes, school books to cleats — kids have a lot to juggle these days. When dark clouds start to rumble, an umbrella may be the best idea, but it can also be tough to manage with a full load. Have no fear, the UFO Cap Umbrella is here!

As we inch further into Summer weather, I'm tempted to spend every moment possible out of doors. But all of that sun isn't good for your skin. If you're tired of tanning, take shelter beneath an umbrella.

I know it's hard to look good in the rain, but with a couple of key pieces, I guarantee you success. Take for example, Ginnifer Goodwin, seen left, at the He's Just Not That Into You premiere in Australia. The actress isn't going to let a couple of drops rain on her parade.

Lugging around an umbrella can get pretty annoying. I've lost my share on buses, trains, restos, you name it. What do you think about this Zambos & Siega Umbrella Purse ($825)?

I'm definitely not a fan of tying pets up for long periods alone, but there are times when I'm outside and I don't have an extra hand for my pup's leash. We like laying out at the park, or in friends' backyards for BBQs, and it's important to help my smooshy stay cool with water , pet sunscreen, and possibly even this PetBrella ($56) while we relax.
It's not that much different than a normal beach umbrella except it comes with a special tie-out stake; when tethering a pet near a shade tree, they can easily tangle themselves around it, but this umbrella's just an extension of the stake so pets will have room to roam without getting all twisted up.

So, if you hated that matching doggie 'brella set, there may be times when you don't want to pull on a parka, but don't want to get wet either. If your dog's half as crazy as mine (scratch that, a quarter), this product would come in handy . .
