Wine is definitely my weakness and, even though I've yet to share it with my pooch, I love the idea of this cork-designed placemat ($4.50). It's totally perfect for my wine cellar . .

There's just something about these jars from Modern Tails ($75-$85). A tad on the kitschy side, I've always had a thing for hand painted pottery. Since I haven't seen a Color Me Mine in years – and I'm not sure my artistic skills are quite up to par – I'd love to just pick up a unique treat jar as a special gift for a cat lover.

We have all had those appointments that if you don't show up, you will be charged a fee. While it can be annoying, I never miss an appointment with a cancellation fee. No matter what.

I think that yogurt should be part of any healthy diet, on the daily. It's great with fresh fruit and granola, contains all the good kind of bacteria we need, and is an excellent source of calcium and protein. Eating yogurt every day can be costly, so I was really excited to discover how easy it is to make at home.

OK, so I go for my twice monthly mani-pedis and North sits at home and waits. I admit it, I feel bad. And although I wouldn't subject North to "pawnail" polish (hello, he's a boy!), I did treat him to a few paw treatments with Opie and Dixie's Healing Paw Balm ($15).

When using those interactive kitty toys, have you stopped to see which paw your cat bats? Turns out not only do animals, like dogs, favor one paw over the other, but recent research cites evidence of the role of gender in felines.

Some brides are low-key and happy to do their own hair and makeup. And then there are Bridezillas. Years ago, I worked with a woman who was so insistent that everything be "perfect" for her big day that she spent literally thousands of dollars on beauty treatments.

When you've finished your favorite lipstick or blush, what do you do with the packaging? Do you toss it in the trash, recycle it, or just stare at it blankly not knowing what to do? According to the EPA, each year Americans create millions of tons of waste.

Highlights
Treatment for Ingrown Toenail:
- Orthonyxia, a surgical technique that implants a small metal brace into the top of the nail, was as effective as traditional surgical techniques for preventing ingrown toenail from recurring, according to one study.
- A nonsurgical method for treating ingrown toenail with chemicals uses either sodium hydroxide or phenol, but one study shows that sodium hydroxide procedures have a better outcome and faster recovery than phenol procedures.
Treatment for Forefoot Pain:
- Ultrasound-guided injection of alcohol might provide relief from Morton's neuroma, according to one study. Symptoms improved in 94% of patients who had the treatment, a success rate comparable to that of surgery.
Treatment for Heel Pain:
- NSAIDs reduce pain and disability in people with plantar fasciitis when used with other techniques, such as night splints and stretching.
- Studies show that extracorporeal shockwave therapy provides a very small reduction in heel pain without side effects. It may be a good option for patients who haven't responded well to conservative treatment.
Work-related Foot Problems:
- An estimated 120,000 job-related foot injuries occur every year, about a third of them involving the toes.
