I have a friend whose stepfather freaked out when I once pointed at their pooch. I was telling the dog to sit, and the pointing came naturally. I never really understood why he didn't want me to point, and honestly it was an instant reflex, but his reaction stuck with me all these years. Now I'm self-conscious about raising my finger – do you do it, too?

Before we start a new state tomorrow, I couldn't forget to finish up with Connecticut! Decorati, the online interior design community featuring luxury home furnishings and services, has teamed up with PointClickHome, web portal for the shelter magazines Elle Decor and Metropolitan Home, to launch a new showroom product finder on the magazines' sites in July. Design Finder, as it will be called, essentially will allow visitors to PointClickHome to search and shop Decorati's collection of home furnishings and browse photos of real rooms with those products, as well as read articles uploaded by top interior designers. There's clearly a lot of synergy between the two properties in terms of luxury interior design, so it makes sense that they'd partner up.

The "once you pop, you can't stop" Pringles campaign seemed kind of cute, but the catch phrase actually embodied truth in advertising. Former FDA commissioner David A. I was already bummed knowing this was the last week of new episodes of The Vampire Diaries until January; and now, having seen it, I'm freaking out a little bit. I knew there was going to be an epic cliffhanger, I just didn't know how epic!

When you use Google Maps, the distance you're getting from point A to B is in driving, walking, or public transportation terms. But, if you just need to find the distance between two points on a map, then check out this cool Google Map mashup: Distance From To. It works just like Google Maps where you put in your starting and ending point, and gives you exact distance in kilometers and miles, but leaves out all that messy info like turn-by-turn directions and traffic.

You went gaga over the lovely pointed toe pumps I featured not too long ago. So my question is: do pointed toe flats have the same effect? When I look at these I see ladylike, flirty and sophisticated.

Just when I had really embraced round toe pumps, the pointed toe comes back on the scene. While there are some celebs who will always swear by pointed toe pumps — SJP and Cameron Diaz come to mind — there are really so many choices out there. I think the girlie girl in me gravitates towards the round toe, while the bad girl is seduced by the fierce pointy toe.
