Lovebirds have a reputation that can't be beat: They are sweet, friendly, and have become synonymous with romance and lasting love.
In fact, legend has it that they have to have a partner to thrive and survive in the world, which may be the reason the species has inspired so many romantic art pieces.
What do you know about them?

After last week's wedding extravaganza on The Office, we come back to a Dunder Mifflin minus Jim and Pam. With the two lovebirds on their honeymoon, the focus shifts to Michael, who once again gets himself into a pickle with a guy — who he thinks — is affiliated with the mafia. I always love Andy, Dwight, and Michael banter, and this week's episode is full of it.

Including co-workers and your boss in your wedding day can be a sensitive subject. Inviting friends you've made at work who also serve as friends outside of the workplace seems like the right choice, but it can still be dicey and cause hurt feelings. On this week's The Office, the entire branch road trips to Niagara Falls to attend Pam and Jim's nuptials.

Ashley Olsen and Justin Bartha looked positively smitten and adorable dining together at Avenue Restaurant in Paris Wednesday. Afterwards the lovebirds stepped out for shopping, but this was just a trip for two after they went on a double date with Mary-Kate and Nate earlier in the week. Ashley's in Paris during Fashion Week, but she's opted to spend time with her man rather than be a front row staple.

Jake Gyllenhaal was all business other than his footwear — sandals with socks — on the set of Love and Other Drugs in Pittsburgh, PA yesterday. The actor isn't letting himself go after training for his role in Prince of Persia as we saw from his sleeveless wardrobe last week, but this time he kept his toned biceps under wraps. Reese is a few short hours away on her own movie set in Philadelphia, but the two lovebirds are no strangers to popping in to visit each other while they're hard at work.

Russell Brand was full of smiles as he left his London home yesterday. He told The Sun: "I think I'm in love", but when asked about his "nights of passion" with Katy Perry he replied: "I don't think I should be drawn on that". The new lovebirds enjoyed a holiday in Thailand last week, but were quickly separated when Katy headed to Paris for Fashion Week.

Amanda Seyfried was back to kissing boys as she shared a smooch with Dominic Cooper at Bar Pitti restaurant in Manhattan yesterday, having kissed both Megan Fox and Julianne Moore for recent film roles, much to Dominic's delight. The couple are in New York following their trip to the Toronto Film Festival earlier this month, where they both had films to promote. Amanda managed to combine business with pleasure at lunch, as she dined with Gary Winick, director of her latest film Letters to Juliet, which is due out in the UK on 21 May 2010.

Dubai is everywhere. Well, not everywhere, it's specifically on the southern coast of the Persian Gulf and one of the seven emirates in the United Arab Emirates and the most populous city of the UAE. On the plane to the RNC I read Ben Mezrich's new book, Rigged: The True Story of an Ivy League Kid Who Changed the World of Oil From Wall Street to Dubai.

California's legalization of same-sex marriage has left prison authorities trying to figure out whether they must allow inmates to marry each other.
Currently prisoners can marry someone from the outside, same or opposite-sex. Back in the days of man-woman marriage, California's proxy rule — which states that both parties must be present at a wedding — helped avoid the all-inmate wedding dilemma.

Want to add some blossoms to your home that will never fade? Then try using floral-patterned furniture to put some flower power in your personal space. I'd start with this Celery Sofa ($2,899), which features a birds and blossoms print that looks strikingly similar to the Thomas Paul Lovebirds print.
