This not-too-golden retriever was recently spotted out with his human mom, Nicollette Sheridan. From the looks of it, lil Oliver was taking her shopping by pulling her around like that. – I wonder if he's paying?! I'm loving his fancy neckwear since a bandana is an easy, celeb-endorsed addition to a collar. Not only did I find this affordable everyday bandana ($2.95), I think I even recognize it as similar to one that Thurman favors, too. Super cute!

OK, so maybe it's not Thanksgiving quite yet, but I'm already thinking about all the great food I'll eat – and the calories I'll consume – so spotting this happy, dog-walking couple gave me a great idea: Instead of sitting around after dinner, or lounging around the house before the meal's set to begin, take off on a family walk with a significant other, or arrange a group walk with neighbors and pals both two- and four-legged!
I'm thinking we'll do this come Thursday while my sportiest pals opt for touch football in the yard. After all, it's a great way to use this extra time to get fit, wear out your pets, and work off that savory meal . . . even if you haven't savored it yet!

Emmy Rossum Needs a Lint Roller

Yup, that furball and black dress could result in some unsightly hairs on Emmy Rossum. However, in this case, I'm just referring to the name of the event. Thrown by LA-based Best Friends Animal Society, the Lint Roller Party's an annual benefit for abandoned and abused animals.

The non-profit works with shelters and rescue groups nationwide, operates the country's largest no-kill sanctuary, and enjoys quite a bit of success based on its entertainment community fan base gathering press for their endeavors. The goal: "a time when homeless, unwanted animals are no longer being destroyed in shelters, and when every healthy dog or cat can be guaranteed a good life in a caring home."

Times, check. Caffeine, check. Super cute dog, check. It must be chilly in Manhattan cause lil Liccy has his fave jumpsuit all ready to go. Despite the fact that my pup would probably soil that ensemble, it's sweet of Famke to bundle her Boston up 'cause I know how heat (and cold) sensitive those smooshies can be!

It's clear she loves her lil man whether they're showing off their acting chops together or just driving around town, it's great to see celebrities out with their dogs just like us! Well, minus the paparazzi that is . . .

In the Spotlight: No More Pups or Heigl's in the Doghouse!

Katherine Heigl may have a big heart . . . but her home reached pet capacity! We've already spotted the actress loading her dogs into the car and making friends with others, but she recently told Usmagazine.com that Josh Kelley would kill her if she brought home another pooch since her husband "married into a five-dog household!" The mystery's solved . . . five! (I was right.) Enough gloating, back to business. The actress attended an opening for animal-loving Peter Alexander's LA flagship on Wednesday and let one of her pooches walk the red carpet with her! Although she did purchase this Miniature Schnauzer from a breeder 11 years ago, her furry family now includes shelter dogs. Heigl added:

In the last eight years, I have suddenly started to realize how great the need is for animal rescue. It would break your heart to hear the stories. It makes you feel like there are no other options than to rescue from shelters because most of them are kill shelters.

I'm guessing this is not lil Romeo's first time in front of a camera because he was hamming it up. My favorite pictures are the ones when he yawns (red carpets = booorrring) and she mock yawns right back at him!

Sponsored by the Freshpet Foundation, the event (and nonprofit) supports nutritional research in the areas of prevention, care and treatment of canine cancer. The organization gives grants to veterinary colleges or research institutions doing work and helping find ways to hopefully one day cure this disease.

Charlie's still leading Amanda Bynes on all sorts of adventures – the duo was spotted over the weekend leaving a Beverly Hills salon. Amanda's sporting a nice blowout . . . and her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel looks pretty spiffy, too!At first glance, I thought this was the same Bags on Board carrier he sported at the Peninsula, but it's totally different (see the silvery details). Now the Flexi Comfort leash includes a similar hydrant-style – but with this spring clasp so, when she rotates between her pooch's many leashes, she can bring the dispenser, too. Perfect. Jada Celebrates The Dog Whisperer's 100th Episode With Cesar

Whether or not you'd love to sign up for Cesar Millan's services, the dog behaviorist has quite a few celebrity backers, including Jada Pinkett Smith, seen here at the 100th episode celebration for The Dog Whisperer in Hollywood on Sept. 17.

The actress recently called for Cesar's help after her pooch, Rocco, was killed by a rattlesnake at her Malibu home — he helped the Smiths' remaining dogs learn to be wary of snakes and I can't wait to see his techniques . . . 'cause I know how dangerous poisonous snakes can be! Although I don't think she'll be included in the 100th episode (airing Friday, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. on the National Geographic Channel), I'll let you know when you can catch his snake strategy yourselves.

In the Spotlight: Kitten Rescue's Fur Ball

LA-based Kitten Rescue held their 10th Anniversary Fur Ball this week, hosted by The Office's Jenna Fischer – who's united with Bones' Emily Deschanel – for a good cause . . . cats!

Celebrities show they care about kitties, too, as funds from this party (featuring cocktails like a “Fuzzy Kitten” and the “Tom Cat”) support the nonprofit's Kitten Rescue Sanctuary. In addition to that shelter for unwanted cats, Kitten Rescue offers a foster home socialization system for adoptable cats and educational information on subjects ranging from new kitten care to proper maintenance of a feral cat colony. So far this 100 percent volunteer-run organization has saved and adopted out over 9,000 animals since its inception, but it's setting its sights on an even bigger goal: to make Los Angeles a no-kill city.

Surprise Furry Cameos on Gossip Girl!

Well it wasn't pretty Penny or Leighton's pup either, but I was happy to see furry faces on last night's Gossip Girl. First off, I know it's TV, but these dogs just appear out of nowhere – I don't remember much about Nate's home life but huge hounds would be hard to miss, right?
Perhaps the Archibald doggies live in the Hamptons year-round or were out with dog walkers for the entire first season. Whatevs. Either way check out their large cameo – unless Nate also has some secret school-aged siblings who use that lil home in the background as a playhouse, let's imagine it to be a luxury dog mansion for this duo.

After sitting in the waiting room, her Yorkshire Terrier was eventually hospitalized with "looseness." Now, I've heard of many ailments, but this is not one of them. At first, I assumed it was something to do with runny poo (which I've kinda got on the brain lately), which didn't necessarily seem overnight-stay worthy. That's right. Our fave pet mom pampers Thurman Murman with yet another pretty leash! From the Western-inspired Cheyenne collection, her pup gets a Bluegrass lead ($39) that really pops. In the Spotlight: Is Rigby Too Good For a Collar?

Considering Jessica's toting tendencies, Ashlee may be taking tips from her big sis! Since Rigby's already grown bigger than Daisy, I'm guessing sooner or later (please, oh please, make it sooner) this lil pup will get a collar or harness (and tags) of her very own. It's not just the Simpson gals as both Tony and Pete get in on the dog carrying action, too.

While I prefer to let my pooch walk on his own four paws, if I was confronted with a great number of fans or paparazzi on the streets, I'd probably also be photographed with North in my arms most of the time – I wouldn't want him to get trampled, pull me off towards his new friends, or prevent my hasty exit. So, as much as I'd like to see these celebrity pets walk, I can understand the other factors in play to provide these great pictures to us.

I was super excited to spot these furballs in the arms of Kim Cattrall at the opening of the annual Summer Sale at Harrods yesterday because, ummm, when am I not excited for puppies?! At first, I was a bit baffled why these cutie doxie models were involved at all but my eagle eyes discovered that she's actually seen here in the pet department – check out those red toy squeaky slippers in the background!

This department store has some of my fave merch for our furry friends – in fact, when I spent all that time in London, I picked up a cute tshirt for my dog that he still wears to this day!

Forget struggling with leashes, this star chooses juggling lil pups instead! Never mind that he looks about ready to trip on the leash, it's hard to handle bundles of cuteness . . . especially when a new puppy's involved. I recognize Adam Goldberg's faithful pup Sheriff Steve Goldberg on the left, but who's this new face? Perhaps since his ex now has the adoro Ramon, he decided to get in on the adoption action. Cheeta the Chimp Campaigns For a Star on the Walk of Fame!

Will seven times be the charm for Cheeta the chimp? This famous monkey is once again petitioning the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to give him a star in 2009. Star of the 1967 comedy Dr. Doolitte and the Tarzan movies, Cheeta would become the first monkey to hold this honor.

Inclusion on the Hollywood Walk of Fame will not only give recognition to one of the international, animal megastars of all time, but focus attention on his fellow primates in the wilds of Africa who now face extinction.

Although he retired in 2003, the talent has eight movies under his belt, and a Guinness Record for being the oldest living chimp born April 9, 1932! He's up against some 200 other contenders for about 24 stars but I believe in lucky seven – I already signed Go Cheeta!
