Added to the family less than a year ago, Jon Gosselin already came under fire for past remarks about the sextuplets treatment of their pups . . .

In no particular order meet Trustt, Solace, Prodigy, Valor, and Dejavu. How cute (and sleepy) they are! This unconventional new puppy alert features five German Shepherd dogs recently cloned in South Korea and making a press debut yesterday in LA.

Ever since the Gosselins' new puppies made their TV debut, I've been tuning into Jon and Kate Plus 8 to see how the large family adjusts to the growing dogs. Not only can I now ace the fun quiz on lilsugar, but it gave me an idea for a post, too. In case you missed the episode, I've pasted a clip where the family sees just what the pooch ate on an X-ray – check it out below.

It's rainy, cold, and gray outside, and Sweet D just wanted to find a spot to hide and sleep the day away. Don't worry D, I've had days like this, too.
Congrats to Sweet D and SZ GSD for being chosen as our Pet Pic of the Day!

While we've been anxiously waiting for any announcement about the TBD Obama puppy, the "second dog" was just introduced over the weekend. Vice President-elect Joe Biden picked out a three-month-old German Shepherd from a kennel in suburban Philadelphia on Saturday. The lil boy won't join the family quite yet and still remains nameless.

Meet Trakr, the heroic pup who helped locate the last human survivor under about 30 feet of debris after the September 11 attacks. The German Shepherd (and his owner) were among the first search and rescue teams to arrive at Ground Zero, and I'm betting that's why he was deemed the most 'clone-worthy' canine by BioArts International in their competition offering someone a free chance to replicate their pet; a sample of Trakr's DNA will be transported to the South Korean lab of the Sooam Biotech Research Foundation, and the cloned dog could be ready later this year! While we were divided on whether we'd clone our own pets (at that high price), check out more pictures of this beautiful dog with his owner, James Symington, when you read more
