While Curly Bella shared her hilarious — to us now, not to her then — tale of creating a makeshift rain bonnet out of a plastic shopping bag post-blowout (like this woman), it's not a look she wants to do over. If you're really concerned about the best protection from drips and drops, umbrellas often fall short when the rain heads straight for your face.

In a perfect world, everything we eat would be free of genetic modifications, hormones, or synthetic pesticides: In addition to surpassing their conventional counterparts in nutritional value, organic foods produce less waste and improve ecosystem sustainability. But organic food comes at a steep price, literally — one that can be 10 to 40 percent higher than conventionally produced products. I'm counting the minutes until the grill gets fired up for my family's annual Fourth of July barbecue! Grilling is one of my favorite pastimes, especially since I'm an apartment dweller, but as I discovered earlier this year, that doesn't have to stop me from enjoying a nicely grilled meal. If you're having a celebration this weekend and don't have a patio to park a barbecue, no worries — the George Foreman Indoor/Outdoor grill is here to save you.

Most mamas-to-be have an idea of the type of bag they want to tote around with their baby. And, those requirements change once the infant is born or siblings make their debut. But for eco-conscience women wanting to make the world a better place for their children, a bag that has lil impact on earth is a priority.
