heard of Feng Shui, right. It's the idea that the Chi (or energy) that flows through your home should be balanced. If you are a believer in the practice, author Paula Brown says the same principal can be applied to your pets.

Since I have a hard enough time watching shows like
Animal Precinct or
E-Vet Interns, I wasn't sure if I would be able to handle a book about a day in the life of an animal surgeon. Thankfully, I gave it a shot (how could I pass up the cutie pie
smooshy on the cover) and the book was well worth it.

Don't you just love it when
celebrities use their fame to do good for animals?. Well-known animal advocate Bernadette Peters created an event a decade ago with pal Mary Tyler Moore called
Broadway Barks, to raise money for New York-area shelters. Year after year, she lends her support to rescue groups and promotes shelter adoptions .

Not only is writing about animals one of my favorite pastimes, but so is reading about them. Since I'm not always in the mood to dive into a "dog owner's manual" to satisfy my reading needs, I sometimes like picture books to gush over as well.
One of my January must haves was a super fun read, and the book I found wandering around during
my shop time seems like a great addition to my animal library.While at
Z Gallerie over the weekend, I stumbled upon this cute book called
Little Dogs ($20) with piccys of some pretty adorable pups donning the pages.
