While we played guess that breed with another Irish pup, there are still several other breeds deserving a shout out yesterday. From the Glen of Imaal Terriers to the Irish Water Spaniels, among the pretty pups coming from this country are my mom's fave – the lovely Irish Setters.
And clearly she's not the only one.

While bloat is a fairly common (even deadly) ailment, it is not another way to say a pup is overweight! Much like pharyngeal gag reflexes (aka, reverse sneezes), it has a serious scientific name: gastric torsion. This occurs when a deep-chested dog has a full tum (of food or water) and then engages in vigorous activity or exercise.

Okay, so you want to start running but refuse to use a treadmill because you believe breathing in the fresh air is half the point of going for a run.
But you're also nervous about running alone (your neighborhood is not the greatest).

This Irish Setter loves to hang with the dog next door, but a six foot wall stands in his way. So when the 'rents won't escort him over, he takes matters into his own paws. Watch this dog attempt to sneak out of his house by climbing (and walking?!) a wall in the backyard.
