‘Women swamp me’The man with the magic stare is and will be Hollywood’s hottest vampire. Robert Pattinson sat down with JOY author Frances Schoenberger and talked about the Twilight sequel, co-star Kristen Stewart — and his secret fears.

On a balmy autumn day in Vancouver, Canada, a young man is longing for a walk outside in the sunshine, and deciding against it.
Far easier for him to stay in his hotel room, cocooned in five-star luxury, with a cellphone that has run out of charge, safe at least from the girls chanting his name outside.
Robert Pattinson, 23, from Barnes in southwest London, ought still to be one of Hollywood’s beautiful dreamers, moving up the ranks of movie acting, enjoying his American adventure, his guitar, his good looks.

As the New Moon breaks records, attention should be brought to a trailer with a release date in March of 2010. No, not Eclipse, but rather Remember Me, a film which could legitimize Robert Pattinson as an actor and not just a Teen Beat cover boy.
Remember Me is filled with an amazing cast: the impeccable, Academy Award winner Chris Cooper, Pierce Brosnan and Lena Olin.

…Says the Sexiest Man Alive, Robert Pattinson, even as he discloses how he loves all the attention, and why he did a bare all in Twilight.
How did you prepare for your role? Getting in to character was the first thing I needed to do and for that Physical fitness was the priority and my only concern.

You have to immediately like a costume designer who’ll admit that she’s wearing sweatpants while chatting with you from her Vancouver home. We phoned Tish Monaghan, who took over styling duties for The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Eclipse, to talk about how Edward ended up in a suit, why Jacob’s muscles are bulging through his shirt (when he actually wears one), what department mandated that the wolf pack’s jean shorts be extra tight, and more.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Anyone who’s listened to the Twilight DVD commentary knows that Robert Pattinson wasn’t a fan of Edward’s pea coat.

Just like everyone else, we’re obsessed with all things Twilight. So imagine our delight when we get to jet over to Vancouver, Canada, to watch the sequel being shot for ourselves! Here are all the behind-the-scenes secrets from the New Moon set (plus a few topless shots of the guys – well, we couldn’t resist)
1 During filming, Kristen was very serious about watching her scenes being played back.

My Letter to the Editorial Page Editor of the L.A. Times Regarding That Fact-Challenged Pro-ACORN Op-Ed Written by the ACORN Consultant
A recent op-ed in your paper defending ACORN makes at least two factual misstatements: 1) that ACORN staff offered to help shield an underage prostitution ring at only two offices, and 2) that no voter fraudulently registered to vote by ACORN had ever actually cast a ballot. Furthermore, your paper failed to disclose that the author of the op-ed, Peter Dreier, has been a (presumably paid) consultant for ACORN in the past .

It's been 70 years since moviegoers first watched in awe as a cyclone took Dorothy away from the drab plains of Kansas and dropped her house on a witch in the Technicolor world of Oz. With an unlikely group of friends – a Scarecrow, a Tin Man, a Cowardly Lion and her loyal dog Toto, of course – she set off down the Yellow Brick Road in search of a Wizard who could send her home in a timeless tale of munchkins, flying monkeys, good witches and bad witches. In honor of the anniversary of The Wizard of Oz, we want to know who could fill Dorothy Gale's ruby slippers today?

Obamacare Ad Wars
While supporters of the health-care bill focus on politics, opponents focus on policy.
by Libby Sternberg
President Obama made an unfortunate stumble in his August 11 town hall meeting on health care reform. "FedEx and UPS are doing just fine," he said, attempting to allay fears that a public option would drive private insurers out of the market.
