BEIJING (Reuters) - A Chinese government spokesman said Barack Obama should be especially sympathetic to China's opposition to the Dalai Lama and Tibetan independence, as a black president who lauded Abraham Lincoln for helping abolish slavery.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang made the comments at a news conference on Thursday, four days before Obama arrives in China for a summit that will cover the two big powers' vast and sometimes tense economic, diplomatic and security ties.
Obama did not meet Tibet's exiled Buddhist leader, the Dalai Lama, when he was in Washington in early October.

My new cat Rocky has big long nails that he loves to rake across my beautiful leather couch or the corners of my walls so I bought him one of those card board scratching boxes with cat nip all over it.
I brought it home, put it on the floor and all he did was sniff it and walk away. Now, everytime I catch him scratching something I'll pick him up and put him on the scratcher but he still doesnt get the point!!

My boyfriend will be leaving for his first tour at the end of the year and we have been avoiding the topic for a long time. Now that it is soon appraching I have taken an interest in doing everything I can to be prepared.
Well, I recently came across USMC gals ( http://www.usmcgals.com/ ), an online community for all those people who have a loved one in the military.

Brit Brit's weave still looks like the ratty seat on the rattan chair your mother probably has on her porch, but this is looking good for her. At least she brushed the bottom. She brought out more boots for us too!
