Hollywood star Sharon Stone has been slammed by animal rights campaigners for wearing a broach made from a rat’s foot to Sir Elton John’s post-Oscars party on Sunday night. The Basic Instinct actress picked up the ‘lucky’ charm after hearing it was an item Scotsmen wore on their wedding day.
Her choice of accessory has left activists at the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals fuming.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - More than 200 years ago, rats jumped ship for Rat Island. The muscular Norway rat climbed ashore on the rugged, uninhabited island in far southwestern Alaska in 1780 after a rodent-infested Japanese ship ran aground. It was the first time rats had made it to Alaska.

While driving around this weekend, a song came on the radio like magic. It was on 'scan,' so I don't even know the station - all I know is that '12 days of Christmas' was being sung by a VERY untalented man. :rotfl:
It was an all rat version..

Just curious, for those rat fanciers out there, how many do you actually have? We've just got two new babies (on top of the 5 we already had) and I'm finding it hard to resist the urge to get more!
How many rats do you have?

The Tuesday night CW block made a particularly strong showing this week. Personally, I thought 90210 had one of its best episodes of the season — nice character development, a few teary moments, and some "oh no she didn't" disses. And as for Melrose Place, I've got two words for you: Heather Locklear.

Dogs were one of the first animals domesticated by humans and have been domesticated for some 10,000 years.
The Saluki, the name deriving from the Arabic word meaning ‘noble one', is the oldest known breed of dog. In ancient Egypt, they were bred as hunting dogs.

This is an old pic of me from April 2008 & you can also find this pic in my "This is Me." photo album.
Anyways, I wore a blue tank top with a built in bra, black leggings, an Indian wrap-around skirt from Camden (I rolled up & fluffed the skirt in the waist area to create a puffy look), & I wore hand-made jewelry.

A lost world populated by fanged frogs, grunting fish and tiny bear-like creatures has been discovered in a remote volcanic crater on the Pacific island of Papua New Guinea.
A team of scientists from Britain, the United States and Papua New Guinea found more than 40 previously unidentified species when they climbed into the kilometre-deep crater of Mount Bosavi and explored a pristine jungle habitat teeming with life that has evolved in isolation since the volcano last erupted 200,000 years ago. In a remarkably rich haul from just five weeks of exploration, the biologists discovered 16 frogs which have never before been recorded by science, at least three new fish, a new bat and a giant rat, which may turn out to be the biggest in the world.

The great “plague”: Insects…
We had a real challenge (menace) due to the little red ants. Ummi prayed constantly in the Quran and threatened them. We burnt Luban (incense) and tried anything organic; nothing helped.
