While losing myself in Barnes and Noble last week for a few hours, I stumbled upon a book full of cross-stitch patterns and ideas for great gift and household ideas that included cross stitchery. And while I'm seriously considering buying the book, in the mean time, it gave me a fabulous idea:
I'm going to make my grandmother some cross stitched placemats for Christmas.
Problem is that I have no idea what kind of pattern to use.
Help with table placemats
We're in the processing of redecorating our condo. And the color scheme is well neutral, gold, turquoise, and all things mahogany. I need some new placemats for our table and right now everything I'm looking at is either to pricey or too fussy.
Finn's Scandinavian Christmas on a Budget
My husband and I weren't able to go back to Finland or Canada for Christmas this year so this will be our first Christmas in Norway by ourselves. Since we did not want to spend a whole lot of money on Christmas decorations, I used a lot of things that I already had and took the scissors and the glue out to make some decorations myself and bring some Christmas spirit into our home.

Our Patio Reclamation Project Is FINALLY Complete
For the last 3 years I've been after my husband to clear out the patio behind our garage. Little by little he's been removing his acquired stuff and we are now deeply involved in getting it ship shape.

Everyone loves themed parties, so try this one out. I've come up with some amazing recipes that I've found and tried out. {They're fantastic} I have plenty of decoration ideas, as well.
