When Nintendo branded its latest video game technology, the Wii, it must have had families in mind. Moms can do yoga, dads can practice golf swings, teens can bounce to Rock Band, and now the wee ones can get involved with games like Knowledge Adventure's JumpStart's Pet Rescue ($40). Preschool-age tots who are awestruck by their older siblings slinging the remote around the living room can do the same as they search for lost pets in an adventurous learning environment.

Walmart loves to shock and awe. City-size stores, absurdly low prices ($8 jeans!) and everything from milk to Matchbox toys on its shelves. And with the recession forcing legions of stores into bankruptcy, the world's largest retailer now apparently wants to take out the remaining survivors.

Sophie Monk, the Australian reality actress/pop singer/woman in a bikini that used to go out with Benji Madden has a new title to add to her resume: Playboy nude model.
Formerly attached to Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden, Monk was approached by Playboy but the rocker didn’t like the idea of his girlfriend getting her gear off.
But now, with Madden dating Monk’s arch-rival Paris Hilton, the Aussie starlet is free to do as she pleases.

REI LAUNCHES 'ECO-SENSITIVE' LABELING
Today REI Co-op, America's largest consumer cooperative and outdoor gear emporium announced an initiative to help their customers, and 2.8 million co-op members, find garments made of Eco-Sensitive materials, whether shopping in person at their some 90 stores across the US, or their two on-line stores. And it's simple really. Garments made from the likes of bamboo, organic cotton, hemp, post-industrial recycled polyester, recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic, polylactic acid (PLA), or organic wool will wear a little hang tag, such you see pictured above.

If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, you've probably already noticed the first hints of autumn: a blush of color in the leaves; earlier sunsets; and cooler evenings. In just a few days, our calendars will catch up with nature, and we'll begin the headlong rush toward winter.
Spring and autumn are the "fix-up" seasons, as we make ready for big changes in the weather.
