Louis Vuitton Garbage Bag

....NOT! Ok sorry to mislead you but I thought this was pretty funny. It had me going for a second until I realized it wasn't really Louis Vuitton. The world would had gone mad if there comes a time when people actually throw trash in bags that cost an arm and a leg. But then again, I think we're halfway there with this TP...

This toilet paper better be made of cashmere and the monograms made of 14K gold. This actually makes more sense than the garbage bag. Who wouldn't want to wipe their derriere in luxury?

Garbage - Nobody Loves You

Watching the days slip by so fast
Knowing our fate has long been cast
Working our fingers to the bone
Cause nobody loves you when youre gone

Coughing up feeling just for you
To find something real to hold on to
But there is a hole inside my heart
Where all of my love comes pouring out.

You know youll always be my man
But grab yourself sweetness where you can
Cause sooner or later were going to die
Left to the dogs under the sky

I cracked a piece of broken glass

Coughing up feeling just for you
To find something real to hold on to
But there is a hole inside my heart
Where waves of my love come tumbling out.
You say that all the good is gone
That I have forgotten who I am
Free as a bird
Wild as the wind
But somehow I cannot let you in

Fab Exclusive! Project Runway's Jay Talks About Second Win and Why Nina's Opinion Matters Most

Jay Nicolas Sario is proving to be quite the competitor on Project Runway. Last night, San Francisco's own had his second victory for the Hard Wear challenge. Do you agree with the winner and loser? His first win proved he's legit, and now he's further solidified his place in the competition. We had a quick chat with the designer about why he chose a garbage bag, which judge's approval he seeks most, and who his biggest competition is.

Why did you choose garbage bags over anything else?

I chose the garbage bags for no reason. All the designers were not able to sketch a design concept before going to the hardware store, so it was challenging to pick items that I had no idea what to make of. I was not in favor of the garbage bags in the beginning due to the fact that it can almost be used as a fabric, and this was a challenge that pertained to "innovation," but I still kept them just in case. My design organically came together as I worked with the materials I found and that includes a drywall self-adhesive mesh tape that I utilized to give the garbage bags structure and leather like texture. As a finishing touch, I used Gapers tape to add color onto the entire look.

To hear more from winner Jay, read more.

In your opinion, who are the strongest competitors?

Seth Aaron’s ability to consistently convey his strong point of view is threatening. He came to compete knowing what he’s made of, versus someone like me who’s still trying to identity his aesthetic as a designer. But I do feel that I have an advantage due to the sense of surprise I bring to the table each week. There’s also Emilio, who can construct a garment beautifully. But I do question his taste, and that's something I have already established and the judges recognize my sophisticated taste.

What did you think of Emilio’s design?

Emilio’s design looked like a $1.50 stripper outfit, and I thought he bought his materials from the adult store that’s literally next to the hardware store. The concept was theatrical but it looked low budget. If he had more metal washers, he would have accomplished his original design intent.

Which has been the toughest challenge yet?

The red dress challenge kicked my ass. Not only was I limited to the color red but a woman with real vital statistics. I’m talking about 40-30-39. I had no choice but to fully embrace my model's figure. I was happy in the end and at the same time wondered why I was not in the top three.

And most exciting?

The Marie Claire challenge was the most coveted of all challenges. Everyone wanted to win this challenge due to the attached price. I made a dress that moved beautifully and a lot of women who are getting married have actually been asking me to remake the dress for their wedding so it’s exciting!

Whose approval do you seek most from the judges?

Nina’s approval matters the most out of all the judges. The more Nina likes me, the better chances I have of winning the competition because, at the end of the day, she gets to chose who she wants to feature in her magazine.

Hello All,
How are you all doing? I hope that you all are having a great day.
I really try hard to do all I can for the environment and at first it was very hard because it is hard not to liter. Plus, when your mother gets you to pick up garbage when you are younger, that is very embarrassing, but as I got older realized that this is really a nice thing to do for the environment. It helps you neighborhood looks nice and not like a garbage can. So, I am grateful for that she taught me that early in my life. So now I do not have a problem doing that at all and liter is something I do not do and I even take the time out to try to pick up the garbage where I am.

Oscar-Winning Pairs....Reese Witherspoon and Renée Zellweger

One Academy Award recipient thanks another for her inspiration and encouragement.
Reese: I was so nervous and terrified [being nominated] and you were an incredible source of strength and encouragement. I called you every day when I was dealing with that garbage. I shouldn't call it garbage, but there's a lot of anxiety that comes with it. Renée: Well, it's a tremendous responsibility. You don't want to let the people down who... you shared the efforts with on the film. Reese: You're sitting there thinking, I really hope they call my name, but I really hope they don't call my name. You really made me feel better about the fact that, as southern women, we both come from a place of, "Oh, not me, you." And you were like, just enjoy it.Renée: It's OK to have people think you did a good job! Embrace that moment. Do you remember it? Reese (laughs): No.

Garbage Strike = More Composting

Its been about a week now since the garbage strike has started in Vancouver, but instead of there being rats about and huge pile-ups of garbage (although there may be some of that too in this city of 4million people) there is a huge increase in the number of compost bins being purchased and used. One can only imagine that these will be used after the strike has finished and garbage is once again being picked up. There are a lot of gardens around Vancouver: people love to make their yards look better than their neighbours! This is part of the reason why a composting increase is such a good thing. Here's a bit more about the issue from treehugger via the Globe & Mail:

Amidst warnings that the strike could go on for weeks, City officials are encouraging residents to step up their recycling efforts and people seem to be getting the message. Since about half of household garbage is organic material much of it can be composted in a backyard composter. For those in apartment buildings, of which there are many in Vancouver, things could be a bit more difficult. However condominium dwellers are being urged to get into the habit of rinsing out recyclable tins and jars as a start.

Tips issued by the City for ways to reduce garbage during the strike are an environmentalist's dream: separating wet garbage, crushing cans, adding grass clippings to the compost, letting grass grow longer, and put fruit and vegetable waste in the compost. Whilst no one wants to see a long and destructive strike, necessity is the mother of invention and this labour dispute may inspire more people to think about garbage and take some small steps towards reducing it on a long term basis.

New Jersey: Garden State or Garbage State?

Garden State or Garbage State?
Wednesday, April 23, 2008 - Millennium Radio

As Earth Day passed, you heard a lot of nice talk about going green, but the fact of the matter is New Jersey remains piled high with garbage, from litter to illegal dumping, from the suburbs to the shore, along roads, in trees, parking lots and under highways.

"I think New Jersey instead of being the Garden State is becoming the Garbage State. People seem to be carelessly disregarding soda bottles and garbage all around our roads and even in our state parks and state forests. As you travel around New Jersey you'll find people illegally dumping garbage just about everywhere," said Jeff Tittel, the director of the New Jersey Sierra Club, an environmental action group.

"A billion plastic containers are dumped out of car windows along our roads every year," said Tittel. He said road crews picked up six million tons of trash along roads last year. He added New Jersey needs to implement a plastic bottle recycling program.

By: Martin Di Caro

ok so here's the deal my boyfriend and i have been together for 3 1/2 years and live together aswell. recently for the past month and a half we have no had sex with eachother. i have asked about infidelity and of course he denies cheating. he hangs out with this guy at his job and well he is what you would call a loser. make a long story short i found out that my boyfriend has been talking to other women behind my back and when he was confronted about it, he denied any wrong doings. he then came home after a superbowl party with blood on his underwear and lied to me about what it was then when got busted he threw the underwear in the garbage somewhere down the street after i left the house.... he claims that he has never had sex with anyone else and that the blood was from him vomiting. although the fact of there being blood in his vomit is true (he always goes through this at home), i truly feel that he infact had sex with other people..... please help.... hes begging me to stay but i dont want to, i dont trust him anymore, what to do??
