Sophie Monk to pose for Playboy for $1 million?

Sophie Monk, the Australian reality actress/pop singer/woman in a bikini that used to go out with Benji Madden has a new title to add to her resume: Playboy nude model.

Formerly attached to Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden, Monk was approached by Playboy but the rocker didn’t like the idea of his girlfriend getting her gear off.

But now, with Madden dating Monk’s arch-rival Paris Hilton, the Aussie starlet is free to do as she pleases.

If she does go ahead with the deal, she will pick up a whopping $1 Million US.

Although nothing is confirmed at this stage, Sophie’s publicist Jenni Weinman wasn’t quick to deny a possible shoot.

“Playboy has always done classy portfolios, so I’m sure if this was real, it’s something that would be considered,” Weinman told News Limited

“I haven’t heard that she’s doing it and I haven’t heard that she isn’t.”

I wonder if Benji Madden’s mom is looking at her boy and just wishing he would take up with a woman famous for something besides nudity. Paris Hilton basically gained her notoriety from her sex tape, Sophie Monk is possibly most famous for appearing nude for PETA. Why can’t he just find some nice groupie instead of wonky faced girls who can’t keep their clothes on?

Sophie admitted to Australian radio that she can’t read about her former fiancé and his new girlfriend, saying “It’s just too real now, it’s not a joke.”

Sophie might be starring in a sitcom in the US, which is part reality/part comedy, that follows her trying to make a career in Hollywood. Do you think the writer’s strike had lasting repercussions for television? Due to the shortened seasons of major shows we’re getting filler programs in New Zealand, my favorite one being a show where they take obese animals and chart their weight loss, a biggest loser for cats. Hopefully we don’t have an actors strike, or we’ll get pets auditioning for Animal Idol.

Adam Levine and Sophie Monk Dating?

Rumors have been swirling since the summer that singer Adam Levineand Benji Madden's ex, Sophie Monk are something of an item.

Back in August, they were spotted making out at the Chateau Marmont, and it looks like things are heating up again.

Spies told our friends over at Page Six that they spotted Adam and Sophie at a garden screening of "All About Eve" hosted by Martin + Osa at very the same Hollywood hotel.

According to their source, "Adam rolled up on his motorcycle and it was obvious that he was there to see Sophie. Once the film began, they cuddled on the patio...they sat extremely close and were whispering in each other's ears."

Sophie is 18 months old and finally learning to say mama. Just like her mother, she's an extremely independent, do-it-yourself type woman. She loves all foods and beverages, so long as they include chocolate. Again, just like her mother. Sophie's favorite book is 10 Little Ladybugs and if you don't read it right, you'll be reading it again. Sophie is the youngest of 3 siblings and by far, has been the easiest child yet, however, it's only just begun. Sophie enjoys warm weather, nice long walks on the beach, and Baby Einstein whenever feasible. Sophie is a Taurus.

Take That Sophie Ellis Bextor!

Not really, just joking people! Although I'm not joking about the fact that Sophie has decided to delay her own upcoming live dates to support the fantastic foursome Take That on their European tour. I suppose that like the rest of us 25 and over, Bextor secretly loved the boy band in their hey day and now can't resist playing with them (I meant musically) on tour. According to the ever reliable "digital spy" http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz the Bextor was asked by the now "reunited foursome" to follow along on all the 34 shows, which unfortunately clashed with her own tour dates. Boohoo! Thankfully though S.E.B has said that ticket for original dates will still be valid and that next years show will be BIGGER, BRIGHTER and BETTER than ever. Sophie apologised to her fans, me included, saying that it's "incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to do both". She added: "I'm thrilled Take That have asked me to tour with them. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity any girl would be a fool to turn down. I promise you when my own tour happens next year it'll be bigger and better than ever." Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden and Australian actress Sophie Monk are rumored to have broken up. Sophie has returned to Aussie solo, almost a year to the day since the Good Charlotte guitarist proposed.

While his brother Joel has been seen often with Nicole Richie since the group returned to Los Angeles, by comparison Madden and Monk have slipped off the radar together entirely.

Speculation the couple were having problems first surfaced when Monk cancelled a scheduled appearance at Carols by Candlelight, citing “family reasons”.

Yesterday, Monk’s father was reluctant to comment on his daughter’s single status, when contacted at the family’s Gold Coast home by our Brisbane colleagues.

“There’s nothing to say and I’m best to say nothing. You’re best to talk to her manager,” her dad Andrew said.

Sophie Monk says her breakup with rocker Benji Madden was amicable and she wishes her ex and his quickly found love Paris Hilton all the best.

"Let me make this as plain as possible – Benji did not leave me for Paris Hilton," Monk, 28, said in a statement, according to Australia's Herald Sun. "Benji and I did not break up badly or anything like that. We both decided, as adults, our relationship had run its course and decided to move on. I feel no animosity towards Benji and Paris at all and am very happy with life at the moment."

Less than two weeks after Monk, an Australian native, and the Good Charlotte guitarist called off their engagement, Madden, 28, was seen with Hilton. On Friday, Hilton, 27, left the jewelry store XIV Karats of Beverly Hills wearing a ring on her engagement finger, but declined to reveal whether she had wedding plans.

Saying yes to the dress: The Wedding Girl by Madeleine Wickham

I spent $$$ on a custom-made wedding gown that had to be fitted and shipped halfway across the world. I ended up with a one-of-a-kind dress that didn't-fit-in-more-than-one-place and a mother who said, "I told you so." In hindsight, I would have been much happier with something off the rack, like this dress from J. Crew.
Of course, Milly Havill, the heroine in The Wedding Girl, had the PERFECT dress. Whether she ends up with her perfect man is another story. Be forewarned though, while Madeleine Wickham and Sophie Kinsella are the same person, the books with the Wickham byline are vastly different from the Kinsella ones. Wickham's books are layered, social satire observations, while Kinsella's are straight-up chick lit tomes. Nevertheless, whether she's writing in one voice or another, Wickham/Kinsella is an engaging and exciting storyteller. Like O. Henry and Jeffrey Archer, she has artfully mastered the twist in the tale.

It seems that love has no barriers, nothing can stop the unconquerable emotion. At least so it seems for Sophie Dahl and her latest catch Jamie Cullum. The 6 foot top model and the 5 foot 4 inch British singer met at The Lavender Trust breast cancer charity event in March. The couple spent the weekend at the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills. Onlookers at LA airport said: "They looked like an unusual pair at first. Sophie towered over Jamie, even though she was only wearing flip-flops. But she was smiling and seemed very relaxed as he puffed down the stairs with his little suitcase. It was all very sweet." It seems Dahl isn't shy of dating shorter men, since her last boyfriend was also shorter than her. Good for her, being a 6 foot woman isn't easy! Yohji Yamamoto’s flagship is the latest store to hit Paris’ notorious Rue Cambon. Designed by Sophie Hicks, an architect and former stylist for Alaia, it carries both women’s and men’s collections. Special wood panelling lines the entrance, while seamless mannequins give the illusion of clothes hanging in the air. It’s a serene, luxurious environment with metal rails for the collections, and Japanese paper birds adding to the installation-like display.
