Luk Chai Dribbles His Soccer-Playing Pachy Self Into My Heart

A soccer playing elephant?! Now I've heard of everything. Although his version is more of a dribble, dribble, smush, Luk Chai looks rather cute no matter what he's doing.

This baby Asian Elephant was born last month at Sydney's Taronga Zoo - home to another adoro pachyderm, hippo Monifa - and is already drawing quite the crowds. Keepers have equipped the babe with this ginormous soccer ball, but he needs a bit more practice to get the hang of the game. World Cup 2010 for Australia, perhaps?

Awwwwfully Up Close and Personal With Two Lil Lions

It's another adoro lil big cat, this time a different species (Java's a leopard) but just as ready for that close-up. The four-week-old lion cub was born in Dortmund, Germany and there's actually a twin.

No joke but these two are already quite the soccer stars, perhaps in training for next year's World Cup and taking after another German animal we love to look at? I'm not sure if they're on offense or defense but see what I mean as both cubs play ball (and with mom) in the precious pictures below.

Knut's Still Without a Home, Yet Still a Ham

Say it isn't so! Knut's allegedly up for grabs (or something) as there's been talk in recent months about the world's most famous polar bear needing a new home. The time's coming for him to find a mate, and there simply may not be enough room for him and a new fertile female at Zoo Berlin.While it's still uncertain if Knut the Cute's days at his German zoo are numbered, I bet no matter where this bear goes, the cameras are sure to follow. He's just so adoro playing with toys, water, and more this season (like his Polar Bear brethren around the world).

Teach Your Goldfish How To Score a Goal With R2 Fish School

When I first stumbled upon the website for the R2 Fish School system ($32), promising to help you teach your fish how to do amazing things in their tank with the instructional DVD – like score a soccer goal, do the limbo, fetch, and play basketball – I was a little more than skeptical. I actually thought I was being punked! But after seeing the little fishy in the demo video get his game on, I became a believer.

And why not, right? My mom had a fish for six years that would jump out of its tank and do flips for food, so I imagine that it's not only cats and dogs that can pull out some pretty cool tricks. Check out a short demo of the R2 Fish School (it's kind of amazing) when you read more.
