I'm becoming a bit of a trivia buff, and with approaching holidays, I can't resist brushing up on some useful (or useless) knowledge to share with friends and family. While I'm savoring the smells coming from the kitchen or listening to several conversations at once, I wonder how cats and dogs would fare compared to me. We all agree that pets cheer us up when we're feeling sad, but can they also tell when we're ill?!
Beamish, this Rottweiler, did just that when his increased attention to a mole convinced Chris Tuffrey to get it checked out. The pooch kept nuzzling, licking, and trying to lift his owner's arm and it turns out the mole was a melanoma .

They don't require quite the same level of care as a dog or a cat, but several of my non-pet owning pals have names for their houseplants! It makes sense since names can provide more accountability when trying to keep them alive ("Oh no, you murdered Leafy!") — sound familiar?

When a pal mentioned the story of a dog and car washing combo, I envisioned a terrified North strapped "in neutral" to some rolling tracks! After checking out the full story, it makes a lot more sense. Much like self-service dog washing stores, one creative Pa.
