Welcome to Week Two of PetSugar's Out and About travel feature where we'll visit the state of Rhode Island! Start the day by checking out the beautiful blazing red and golden amber fall foliage in the Narragansett Bay area before you (and your pooch) hop on the Block Island Ferry at Point Judith, just south of Narragansett. Leashed pets are allowed to make the hour-long trip on the traditional ferry, while small, contained pets can take the traditional or hi-speed ferry to this island.

I've seen the adoro guinea pig costumes from Cuddly Cavies, but I just spotted their rabbit selection and, boy, my nose is twitching with delight at these cute piccys (though I can't vouch for the lop-eared model). Since tomorrow's Halloween and I can't get enough of the fun, click through my favorite pics for bunnies and cavies — hey, if you order now you'll be all set for next season!

Since pumpkin is high on my list of healthy foods for a chubby or rumbly puppy tummy no matter the season, I feel the need to address those carved creations, if that's your kind of thing.
Not only can an open flame pose a danger, the unlit pumpkin is not pet-safe! While the fresh stuff is fine for furry friends, don't leave the jack-o'-lantern within paws' reach — after being carved and exposed to air, the vegetable grows bacteria and mold, which is very dangerous to doggies.
