It's been a while since I've gave you a preppy update, but here I am with some tennis-inspired dog gear to celebrate the US Open.

If your dog's ready to play a game of fetch (and not a fan of dressing up), why not sub a simple prop like a collar or accessory? I especially love these visors – I thought I found every possible hat back on National Hat Day, but guess not . . . it's totally tennis prep for pups!

In big cities like the big apple, if you're taking public transit, hailing a cab, or trying to ~~sneak~~ bring a doggie into a shop, you're often only allowed if your pet fits in a carrier. But, I remember from one of our first PetMarking missions, there are plenty of cute cases out there for people to choose and use! I don't agree with dog-as-accessory, and I think putting a pup in your purse – a bag not sold specifically for pet purposes – can hurt both the doggie and the bag. Now, Todd Oldham's certainly a busy man – being the new creative director of Old Navy causes him to jet between NYC and SF and sometimes, I'd imagine, he just grabs the first bag laying around before running errands. While there's nothing wrong with his classic L.L. Bean Boat and Tote, but I'd love for him to express that preppiness with a petspecific version instead. OMG. North is giving me sidelong stares as I squeal over this cutie pie! Can you believe this is the same fella we saw from behind with Christina Ricci at LAX yesterday? I'd never have guessed her new pup was a lil smooshy . . . and I love him even more now!

Since arriving in NYC last night, Ramon now sports this adoro sweater to hold off that East Coast chill. In fact, between the plaid and this argyle, they're definitely putting on the prep. Found! Sadie's Cable-Knit Cashmere Sweater
