Bare Bones: Reflective Gear

Now that it's nearly dark by the time I get home from work, it's time to start thinking about reflective gear for my four legged pal. Not only are there some pretty stylish and highly reflective rain jackets that pets can throw on before leaving the house for the evening potty walk, but if your pooch isn't the coat wearing type, you can always attach a safety light to his harness or collar to make sure he's seen even on the rainiest or darkest of nights.

Bare Bones: Kittywalk Closet Sleeper

North likes to hang out in my closet when I'm getting ready in the morning – usually wherever I am, he wants to be. So it makes total sense that someone would have the smarts to make a closet napping area, only this one is for cats that love to follow your every move.

I came across The Kittywalk Closet Sleeper on moderncat, and it looks like a perfect place for Sassy to perch while you change for the tenth time in one morning. Or maybe that's just me – I think I have outfit anxiety. For $70 on Amazon, this kitty lounger will fit your feline of up to 15 pounds, and uses only the space in your closet you aren't utilizing – adjustable straps let you lower the sleeper to an area you are comfy with giving up. Let's be realistic, closet real estate is a hot commodity! Even lending some to your favorite kitty can be tough.

Spoiled Sweet or Spoiled Rotten: Coco's China Pet Bowl

I have already admitted to dropping some serious cash on North's food bowls, but I'm still not ashamed because I'm happy with how they look in my apartment, plus they have stood up to quite a beating since I got them! So I guess the same reasoning would go for these Coco China Pet Bowls ($100) from The Pet Project made of white porcelain with a walnut wooden base. I'm gonna go ahead and say that I love it, cause I do. But, would I buy it? That's another question!

Shine a Light 'Cause Your Doggie Is a Rolling Stone

When I learned from my pal, BuzzSugar, about the new Martin Scorsese documentary Shine a Light (opening today), I knew I had to share fun Rolling Stones-themed pet gear right now! While we've definitely been getting North in on the rocker pet trend, why not let him share music (I think) he likes listening to. While some of the items are right up his alley – like hoodies for early morning breaks – I can't exactly see him in coveralls . . . or overalls. Would You Use a Birdie Stroller?

If you weren't already convinced that more than just dogs could use some outdoor interaction, this has to seal the deal. Not only did we see a kitty stroller, but now this Pak-o-Bird Carrier ($349 pictured here) and fold-able Stroller ($125) combo is made specially for your feathered friends that like to get out, but you know . . . not all the way out. The mesh and nylon travel cage comes with a dragon wood perch so your bird can travel comfortably, plus it can be used as a backpack when you aren't using the collapsible stroller.

I have to say, I was a bit surprised to see this, even though I mentioned that birds could (and should) get exercise outside with their own flight jackets – I just never would have thought of carting them along in a stroller! Pampered Pals: My Fave Collar Charms

Even though it's obvs not a necessity, accessorizing your pet can be fun. Especially when it's something that doesn't get in their way, like a collar charm. Sometimes shoes and coats – however helpful when you need 'em – can sometimes be a pain for your pet to get used to.

Cats can be very finicky about all the bells and whistles, and you might not be able to get used to the price tag on some of the higher-end jewels! Most of you said your cats would never go for ridiculous accessories, but I think the collar charm is a cool way to add some personality and still keep her comfortable. This Skele-Fish charm ($15) is totally something I associate with old school cartoon cats – pulling bones out of their mouths after feasting on a whole fish – à la Tom and Jerry. Pampered Pals: Wailea Collar and Lead

Since we're ramping up for Spring, what better way to do it than adorn our pups – and ourselves – with flowers? I know I'm so over the dark colors and bulky sweaters of Winter, and I think North is pretty happy about it too – since he's far from a snow bunny. Imagine my excitement when I came across the Wailea Collar and Lead Set ($66) seen here from the hip 26 Bars and A Band.

It definitely reminded me of a vacay in the islands, which is a great change from the soggy weather we've been having lately. These suede stitched collars and leads, in either pink or chocolate, are accented with detachable orchids that you can place anywhere. Both to suit your taste, and to make sure one doesn't "accidentally" get too close to your pup's mouth! I've seen a lot of leads in my day, but this is the nicest I've seen made of suede, and I've gotta say, the chic, textured collar would look pretty awesome on Annabelle! Now if only I could make the real Spring flowers bloom sooner . . .
