Pucker up baby! If the New York Fashion Week runways are anything to go by, its all about lips for Winter 2010. The shows have been packed with popping red lip shades from bright cherry at Donna Karan, to deep merlot at Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. Even Agyness Deyn has got in on the act, sporting a swipe of deep red for the G Star Presentation. The look is best worn with pale skin and low key eye makeup. Coveted Crib: Sixx Design's West Village Home

Robert and Cortney Novogratz founded their own design powerhouse, Sixx Design, after sort of accidentally learning they had a knack for renovating derelict homes and turning them into fantastically unique, high-style abodes. Neither was trained as a designer or architect, but their skill is undeniable. And you might say, their design style is influential. In their book Downtown Chic (read my review), we're given a peek into some previous incarnations of their homes, as well as the homes of their clients. New York Social Diary recently interviewed Robert and was given an unstaged tour of their latest digs, complete with children's toys and treadmills in full view. The images provide a more honest portrayal of the couple, who frankly, are a bit intimidating - killer designers and millionaires and all. You must read the full interview (really interesting!) and check out all the photos at NYSD, but I wanted to point out a few of my favorite rooms.

If you saw Part I of this slideshow (The Loft Suite), you know I was recently invited to tour the new Ace Hotel in New York. I've always been a fan of the boutique hotel chain's vintage industrial aesthetic, but I particularly loved the prep school/university library feel of Ace NY's lobby. Tall ceilings, original floor tiling, old wooden tables, giant columns, cozy, quiet seating, and a well-bound collection of dusty books made me feel like I'd stepped into a scene from School Ties - although Matt Damon was nowhere to be found. There are plenty of clever design ideas for you take from this lobby, even if a trip to the Big Apple isn't in your plans.

During a recent East Coast getaway, I was invited to tour the new Ace Hotel in New York, and I've got photos to prove it! My love for Ace is no secret, but until now I haven't had the chance to visit one. I hoped the hotel would live up to its good press and photos, and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. As with the boutique hotel chain's other outposts, a campy, vintage-industrial aesthetic rang true here, and inspiration was also drawn from the history of the building and city. First, take a peek at the loft suite and get some clever design ideas for your home. Each floor boasts only one of these 825-square-foot corner rooms, so you're in for a treat!
