I'm no stranger to cutesifying words but, if I didn't have a pooch of my own and someone asked me for one of these items by name, I'd swear they were sharing some pet name for the product. Lily Allen's Pup Gets a New Name and a New Toy!

It's not that hard to change a pet's name . . . especially if she comes with one you can't see yourself shouting across the dog park! You may recognize this pup as Honey, but Lily Allen changed the name of her newly-rescued dog to Mable. Awwww!The new BFFs are hitting up all sorts of spots in London like super-hip Primrose Hill Pets for a pretty pink collar and leash (that looks similar to celeb fave, Mendota) before running around Primrose Hill itself. My eagle eyes immediately recognized this new toy to chase – a Jungle Ball ($5), perfect for tough chewers like Staffordshire Bullies!

Ellen Pompeo Takes Off With Gigi But Where's Valentino?

When it's time to fly the friendly skies, I say no dogs left behind! But in this case, one pooch is missing. Sad. Ellen Pompeo and her husband Chris Ivery left LA yesterday with the snuggly Gigi! Their furry family also includes a brown Toy Poodle named Valentino, but I see he's not bitten by the travel bug.

What else did I spot? A Sherpa - the same exact one that Mickey totes his pups in (Leighton has it in green and Christina in the Legacy pattern). Lucky dog.

Pet Pic of the Day: Ruby and Buddy's Bath

Since washing your pet's toys is not only good for his health, but also nice to the earth, I give two thumbs (or paws) up to mayabaxter for putting this tip into practice. I also think it's totally adoro how Ruby is looking on to make sure her Buddy is getting the best possible bath time treatment. Don't worry, Ruby - you're next!

Don't forget to submit your favorite photos to our Pet Pics group for a chance to see your furry friends on the pages of PetSugar! Need some help getting started? I'll tell you how to upload your photos when you read more.

I know this looks like a lot of steps, but once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze!

First of all, join the Pet Pics group.
Click the pink "Share" menu on the top left side of the page.
Choose "Photos" and “Upload Photos."
Give your Gallery a “Title.”
Fill in the “Body” with details about your pet.
Click “Groups and Privacy" just below the "Search Title" box.
Choose the audience for your story to “Pet Pics!” in the dropdown menu.
Change channel to “Pets.”
Fill in tag field with relevant tags.
Don't forget to include your pet's name!
Click “I’m done” to submit content.

So join the Pet Pics group and share photos of your adorable pets! Yours just might end up on the PetSugar homepage.

Three Takes on Indoor Hide-and-Seek

There's no secret that hide-and-seek's a fun game to play indoors on wintry days for pets and kids alike. When I think of animal-friendly versions, a couple options come to mind – those where treats are hidden and sought out by nosy noses and those where family members are sniffed out . . . if you've got enough space to trick a doggie into playing, that is.

However, North's favorite take of this activity is a combination of all his favorite things – fetching, running, and yummies, of course. To get started, all you need is a toy your furball will want to chase – like a squeaky ball – and a tiny training treat. Get my four steps to fun when you read more.

Throw the toy.
As your pet chases it, run and hide (in my tiny apartment, this usually means next to the bed or in the closet).
When your pup goes to "fetch," call his name until he finds you.
Reward with a treat for letting go of the toy and repeat.

Spring Clean a Dog Lover's Desk

I'll be honest: my desk is far from neat. I've got a collection of dog tags, treats, and toys . . . and all my stuff, too. I think I should start organizing (especially since Savvy's spotless desk is next to mine) and this is just the cute pet to inspire a major Spring cleaning spree.
The Amigos Dog ($62) comes in three lovely shades all with plenty of pouches. There's room for pencils and small items on the sides, my pink notepad on his back and even a hole in his tummy for my BlackBerry! The three desk organizers I've named Raspberry, Blueberry and Blackberry are handcrafted in Argentina with 100 percent reconstituted leather – so ecotastic to recycle usable materials to turn into something beautiful.

Stumpy! I mean, Stump, is the Best in Show at the 133rd Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show! The oldest winner in the history of Westminster at 10 years old, this Sussex Spaniel last won his group in 2004! I'll be following up with more info and photos of this cute fella as soon as he digs – I mean I dig – it up! Until then, we salute you, Champion "Clussexx Three D Grinchy Glee."

Bare Bones: Toys For Your Small Animal

Apparently it's toy mania here on PetSugar, 'cause I have yet another toy post for you today! With so many of you letting me in on your pet's toy collection, I think it's safe to say we have the doggies and kitties covered. But what about the little guys? I know there are more than a few rabbits, ferrets, and gerbils out there (to name a few) so they shouldn't be left out of the playtime fun. I've rounded up a few of my fave small animal toys, including this cute Race Track ($14) for hamsters! Just put your little critter in a specially matched toy car (complete with a running wheel) and off he goes - exercise plus fun equals one happy hamster!
