Now I'm not sure how things will turn out for me in the end, but it was fun doing my research on the sporty creatures. Since some teams remained the same from last year, and others were totally new, take my quiz to see how you do in 2009!

Rather than rely on season records or uniform colors, I made many of my March Madness picks based on whether or not the school had an animal as a mascot. While it may be an unconventional method, I decided to extend the popular "Who Let the Dogs Out?" quiz to this year's college basketball tourney. After pondering what a Tar Heel or Hoosier is (turns out neither are animals), I created a nice little quiz of wild mascots for you. For some I included the animal picture, others just the names - you don't even need to know basketball to play!

Holy Puffer! Mascot's Cold Weather Must Haves

Found! Kelly Osbourne Loves Gooby, Mascot, and Sporky

Attention, attention, new puppy alert! Kelly Osbourne has been spotted over the last couple weeks with this lil furball! The Shiba Inu already has her (his?) wings taking plane trips with mom. Looks like Kelly wasted no time in getting this pup the coolest gear. What products did they travel with? Find out below.

Even though temperatures don't drop that much in LA, the Gooby Winter Freedom Harness ($30) is a snuggly alternative to traditional reins made of synthetic deer skin and lined with faux fur for an off-to-the-mountains look.
Then there's no matchy matchy necessary here as the pup also sports a Mascot Old School Repp Lead ($42) in one of six preppy color combos.
Lastly, she adds a pink piggy to the leash. While Sporky ($15) may appear to be a poop bag holder to an untrained eye, it's actually a dispenser for wet wipes, great for keeping fingers (and paws) clean on the plane.

I've already shared my love for Mascot so I was super psyched to learn about the new styles they have coming out for the season. Seems like this lil furball thinks surf's up modeling the adoro Aloha line! They've added these Hawaiian-style collars and leads in time for beachy vacay in addition to a Sailors Knot Collar Natural Collection. A variation of the popular Sailors Knot line, the new products are made of a braided rope-like material and can be preordered before their June release.
