From the same people that make The Pet Loo for pooches comes the Kitty Kat. This cat toilet features synthetic grass that resists the acidity (and stench) of urine, while felines get a virtual backyard in a box, no matter what room of the house it's in. I can see the pros (less litter and waste to toss), but then I also wonder if those picky kitties would bother to use a box with nothing to cover their tracks, if you get my drift.

Most kitties are not lining up to take a car ride like the cutely curious cat pictured. Leaving the house way less frequently than canine counterparts, home is definitely where their hearts stay.Relocating with a pet that hates cars is not easy but I've never stopped to consider the litter problem for trips including several days of driving. When advising about what to do with pets and movers on Thursday, I spotted this bathroom break question in the comments — peep it when you read more

Whether you're a one-cat gal or a more felines, more fun type, I'm curious how often you change the kitties' box. For this poll, I don't mean how often you scoop the poop, but how frequently you replace all the litter. I've heard different answers from friends with the same number of cats, so now I want to hear it from you.

When I first spotted this on moderncat, I thought it was a prototype for a futuristic creation. However, much to my surprise, the Litter-Garage ($180) already exists. According to the manufacturer's website, it only takes an hour of installation (provided you have an existing cat door) and is a safe way to stash the stinky box in the garage without worrying about a feline taking a nap under your car.

Animal experts warn that you should keep your litter box and surrounding area clean, and change litter frequently, but it seems each family's cleaning regimen is different.
If you do have a cat, you know that even the most chic litter boxes can get stinky quick, and some felines are smart enough that they'll avoid an area or litter box that isn't fresh and clean.
I know that 34 percent of you house your cat's litter box in your human bathroom, but how often does your cat's throne get cleaned out?

If I had a cat, I'd get all my furniture essentials from Moderncat Designs! I featured the Litter Box/Bed Combo before, but now MCD has a covered version. It must be pretty popular, cause it's already sold out on their website!

This question came up with a friend of mine recently: She has two cats living in a small apartment here in San Francisco, and likes to entertain guests. I asked if she would rather have a litter box cabinet, like the Refined Litter Box, that could hide away kitties' litter, but still pull double duty as a counter top, or if she would rather have an attractive and modern litter box since it would be sitting out anyway like the Litter/Bed Combo. Why hide it if you know it's there!?

When I saw this on Moderncat, I knew I had to share with all my feline lovers! This oh-so-chic cat bed can pull double duty and make your cat's litter box way more attractive than it really is. From Modern Cat Designs – which l obviously love since their Cat Condo is one of my May Must Haves – this Litter Box/Bed is made of high pressure laminate to withstand a beating, plus it's totally elegant in a dark wood finish, so you don't have to sacrifice taste for function.

Many times it can seem like cat owners get the short end of the stick when it comes to traveling with pets. While some kitties like to be outside sometimes or enjoy the occasional walk, I imagine prepping for a trip with a feline who's just getting started with the frequent flier (or driver) points can be overwhelming. One of the key things to provide for a cat is a litter box but, when you're away, lugging the big home edition can be more than a little annoying.
