Do You Talk Extended Family with Your Pets?

I've already asked if you'd consider yourself parents (or if you'd buy a Mother's Day gift from a pet), however I'm curious to know how you refer to other animals in your home and friends in your life? I've been known to refer to close friends by names like "Uncle Michael" and "Auntie Dionne," but I admit it sounds funny (especially to only child me)! And even though North's an only pup, I don't know if I'd call another pet his "brother" or "sister." Hmm. And all that brings me to my final example – my college boyfriend's mother would refer to the family dog as his brother. Eeks! At what point do you think this is going too far? After you take the poll, I wanna hear all about it in your comments below.

Would You Go to a Bar With Your Dog?

As I've mentioned before, I've taken North almost everywhere and he seriously loves getting out and meeting people. But I seem to get a guilt trip whenever I go out without him to meet up with my pals for drinkies. And, apparently, I'm not the only one that has felt the pangs of guilt from their pup, cause now you can even take your pooch to the bar with you! Not just any bar - SkyBark in LA.

Although there are many bars that welcome dogs on outdoor patios (and a couple with dogs right inside), SkyBark is the only bar (that I know of) that was created just for you and your pups. You can mingle with other dog lovers over whiskey sours while your dogs play on the 3,000-square-foot "dance floor" and sip on doggie beers. The rooftop of Skybark overlooks the LA skyline, and seems like a pretty cool place to visit at least once. Would you bar hop with your pup?

Hands-Free Umbrella Makes Rainy Dog Walks Easy

So, if you hated that matching doggie 'brella set, there may be times when you don't want to pull on a parka, but don't want to get wet either. If your dog's half as crazy as mine (scratch that, a quarter), this product would come in handy . . . or out of handy, actually. Fresh from the MoMA Store, this Ryo Masaki-designed Hands-Free Umbrella ($50), is absolutely perf for walking the dog on a rainy day. The handle is made of a flexible rubber that can be wrapped and molded around the shoulder for easy protection. I'm not brave enough to try to carry a normal umbrella while grappling with North's leash, so I think this product is amazing – wouldn't you agree?

Does Your Pet Try to "Use" the Toilet?

So I already addressed toilet paper and poor Bella's failed toilet training attempt of Milo and Minou but what about the toilet itself?! Many pets show interest in the ~~magical fountain~~ toilet . . . either drinking the water or, like this clever cat, flushing it! Do your pets exhibit any of these bizarre behaviors?

Protect Toilet Paper From Nosy Paws!

There are many dogs and cats that love to unroll paper towels or toilet paper (like our POTD B-Bop), and lilsugar told me about a great product to keep your TP safe from baby hands . . . that works just great for puppy paws and kitty claws, too! This neat product is the TP Saver 2 Pack ($5.97). Just slide the tube into the roll and attach the plug end into it to hold down the top sheet and save your roll. You can even add it after the toilet paper is on the holder so it's easy to detach and reattach when you need to use it.

Do You Tote Your Pets?

Although my pal already bought a pretty pricey carrier for her new pup, I fell in love with this London Pet Tote ($99) while scouring the Internet for our Collar Matching Mission, and only wish that North was still a baby so I could have a reason to buy it for his bus trips! It seems North is my excuse to buy things more than I realize!

This product got me wondering how many people actually tote their pets around, not just on public transportation, but just walking around the city or even in the suburbs. So I want to know: How many of you carry your pets around in a tote bag?

What's Your Fave Thing to Buy for Your Pet?

I must have a weakness for street punk style, since I've acquired plenty of rockin tees and sweaters for North to wear around town, or even just around the house when it's chilly. I know some pets who are totally spoiled rotten and get their blueberry facials more often than I can even get to the nail salon for a manicure! I know we all like to pamper our four legged balls of fur, so tell me, what's your favorite thing to buy for your pet?

Would You Get a Tattoo of Your Pet?

I've heard that tattooing can be totally addictive – once you get one, you'll never stop. I have been with some pals while they've gotten their first ink, and I'm not entirely sure I could work up the courage to dive in. The thought of pain and especially the sound of the tattoo gun made me want to take cover in a corner somewhere!

So when I came across some pet tattoos featured on The Bark Blog, it has me convinced that these are some pretty devoted pet owners . . . not only to get a tattoo of their beloved pets, but to brave the actual act of getting it in the first place!

Obvs, I'm not too hip on the whole tattooing craze myself (and I don't see myself changing my mind anytime soon). Until then, I'll be the one in the corner cowering away from the dentist-drill-sound of the tattoo gun – how about you?
