Mmmm! Pick Pumpkin Pie Pops

Thanksgiving's right around the corner - have you downloaded our planner yet? Now, I remember those adoro pies for finicky felines, but let your gourd-loving pups in on a lil, three-word secret: Pumpkin Pie Pops ($5).

Made of organic ingredients good enough for humans, the pumpkin snacks are topped with all-natural, veggie-food-colored yogurt. I can see a pooch being a-OK with this treat, since he can't have sugary pie and, as long as you take off the stick, it's totally safe for pups (and corn free). Did I mention you could eat it? Mmm, yeah that's all I can think about.

Tu Gato Necesita Un Sombrero

That's right, your cat needs a sombrero. (Need I remind you of another super famous literary feline worthy of mention?) After all, what's cuter than a cute kitty in a cute hat to celebrate Cinco De Mayo.

Since we've already covered birds and dogs, check out these adorable handmade head toppers for our kitty amigos. There's this cute color offered for $14 or a larger, yellow and black style for $21. I feel a future Pet Pic of the Day in the making with these things.

Give Your Pooch a Happy Cinco de Mayo With a Puppy Piñata!

Last year, I focused on birdie piñatas, but it's a dog's day today with these cute creatures. Now, anyone with a canine knows an actual piñata plus pooch is a recipe for disaster (and a trip to the vet's office), these are plush toys ($10, small or $15, large) filled with yummy pet-safe snacks.

North loved his Puppy Piñata – he knew there were yums inside – and broke it open in no time! Even if you're ordering today and celebrating a lil late, trust me, your pet won't know the fifth of May from the fifteenth with snacks involved!

Celebrate Mardi Gras With This Simply Special Treat!

I'm looking for a last-minute way to celebrate Mardi Gras with North, who constantly has food on his mind. Now we all know that a traditional King Cake has no place in pets' tummies (with all that sugar), but the concept is definitely something we can work with.If you're unfamiliar with this dessert, a King Cake is a sweet treat that traditionally has a trinket like a bean or plastic baby hidden somewhere inside. The person who gets the prize gets to be king for the day. To find out how to surprise your pets this way, read more.

Obviously, we don't want to add a nonedible choking hazard to our animals' food, but what about adding a special "trinket" to dinner tonight? Simply take a special treat that would normally be fed by itself and bury it inside your pet's wet (or dry) food. I tested this with North this morning and boy was he happy – he actually dug through the food with his mouth to eat the snack first! Remember, just one – we don't want pets to experience Fat Tuesday all too literally.

I'm Not Pulling Your (Key) Chain

It's like a patchwork puppy face! Since I admittedly go a bit crazy for all things Boston, I'm gaga over this cute clip. Nevermind that I don't have a purse I'd snap it on (and believe less-is-more when it comes to my keys), I think this would make a nice gift and a new way for a pet parent to show off a lil one no matter where they snap. After all, these chains come with an attached, magnified photo frame for your pal's face and the large size might just help you not misplace your keys all the time. Well, here's to hoping anyway!
