In the Spotlight: Harrods, Puppies, and Kim Cattrall

I was super excited to spot these furballs in the arms of Kim Cattrall at the opening of the annual Summer Sale at Harrods yesterday because, ummm, when am I not excited for puppies?! At first, I was a bit baffled why these cutie doxie models were involved at all but my eagle eyes discovered that she's actually seen here in the pet department – check out those red toy squeaky slippers in the background!

This department store has some of my fave merch for our furry friends – in fact, when I spent all that time in London, I picked up a cute tshirt for my dog that he still wears to this day!

Lily Allen cuddles this super cute pup at the opening of the Harrods Winter sale today. This lil one does not belong to her, but she does have a much-loved pet of her very own who was dognapped from her walker earlier this year . . . but, thankfully, returned safe and sound. She wasn't the only celebrity to have a pup taken from her in 2007, so test your knowledge of the other newsmakers.

The Scoop: Not the World's Most Expensive Collar

As part of the annual dog fashion show, 'Pet-à-Porter,' at London's Harrods department store, Ritchie here gets to sport one of the world's priciest collars. Ringing in at 500,000 pounds (that's over $1 million!), it's set with several two-carat, Dali web cut diamonds, along with a stunning, slightly larger center stone – totaling just under 15-carats altogether.

It's beautiful, and rather manly as far as diamonds go, but not the world's most expensive. The priciest dog collar I've ever spotted is the 52-carat 'Amour Amour' collar from I Love Dogs Diamonds. With 1,600 hand-set diamonds and a seven-carat centerpiece, it's worth a jaw-dropping $1.8 million.

I am still stunned by lavish collar options like the one Ritchie the bulldog wore at Harrods' 'Pet-à-Porter' fashion show and the most expensive ($1.8 million) 'Amour Amour' collar seen above. I like to spoil my pup but, until I have 1,600 diamonds, poor North will have to settle for leather harnesses. Be it a harness or a collar that your pet prefers, what's the most you would drop on your pets for one of the two?
