A cute Great Dane named Titan recently captured the Guinness World Record as the world's tallest (living) pooch! His record breaking last week made me think about all those other animals currently topping the charts for age, size and more. The Scoop: Titan Named the World's Tallest Living Dog

You don't need to remember this Titan since he's still alive. As the only animal honored in the 30 Guinness records announced on Nov. 12, this pooch really measures up! The 4-year-old dog is blind, deaf, and epileptic but measures in at a whopping 3 1/2 feet tall from floor to shoulder, taller than even Gibson, the previous record holder who died back in August.

Rescued from the Middle Tennessee Great Dane Rescue as a puppy, he could see out of one eye when younger before going totally blind but remains calm and friendly towards all friends, human and furry. Due to his height, he undergoes acupuncture and chiropractic adjustments every three weeks and, if he could safely stand on his hind legs, he'd probably top 80 inches ear to toe - wowza! RIP, Chanel: The World's Oldest Dog Passes Away

I've got some more sad news to announce: People Pets is reporting that the world's oldest pooch passed away on Aug. 28. The Wirehaired Dachshund named Chanel celebrated her 21st birthday - 147 in dog years! - back on May 6.

Although she suffered from cataracts, and had her eyes protected by those awesome Doggles, she was otherwise in good health and had plenty of pep according to her owners Karl and Denice Shaughnessy of Port Jefferson Station, NY. This pooch will surely be missed so check out a video from her big birthday bash earlier this year below!

We've seen some pretty amazing animals on this site, from quite possibly the world's oldest dog to a recent title for balloon popping. I've found a few record-winning ear lengths and had to see if you'd beat my surprise at how expansive lobes can be! For good measure, I also added in some Guinness Record-holding goat horns . . . bonus. There are pictures, too, so see how you measure up!

Anastasia Breaks World Balloon Popping Record!

Every animal has a talent! Some can walk on two legs, some seem to talk to us, and others just want to pop some balloons. Obvi. On Live! With Regis and Kelly last week, Anastasia, the Jack Russell, showed her unique talent by popping 100 balloons in 44.8 seconds, beating the previous world record by almost ten seconds! My favorite part of this video isn't Anastasia's crazy high pitched whining as she's waiting to attack the pack of balloons – it's the part where Regis says, "Let's get it on!" So hilarious. Is This the Oldest Dog in the World?

I don't know about your pets, but this dog has all of my previous dogs beat by, well . . . a lot! Bella, a Labrador mix from the UK, is said to be at least an amazing 29 years old, if not pushing three decades! Her owners, David and Daisy Richardson, say that they brought the tenacious pooch home from an animal shelter 26 years ago when she was "at least" three. But due to missing records, Bella can't be verified by the Guinness Book of World Records as top dog. Understandably, Bella's age of 200 in doggie years would slow anyone down, but she still manages to get around. During a brief scare when the Richardsons thought they would have to finally put Bella to rest, David took her to the vet to be checked out:

"I decided to take her to the vet to be checked and she said Bella was very fit for her age apart from a bit of arthritis in her legs. Her heart is strong and she can still potter around the garden so she might have a good few years left."

As shocking as her age seems, Bella is not the only pup to stand the test of time. To see who else has been honored by Guinness, read more.

Two other dogs have been listed in the Guinness Book of World Records: Butch from the US, who celebrated 28 doggie b-days, and Bluey from Australia, who rang in 29 years and five months as the longest living dog ever.

Maybe they drank from the dog bowl of youth, but I would love to get their long-lasting secrets so North and I can share just as many decades together!!

The Scoop: Is This Actually the World's Oldest Dog?

While Chanel was crowned the "World's Oldest Dog" by the Guinness Book of World Records just months before her death, news has come of another elderly pooch that could be the new (rightful) titleholder. This is Penny photographed on Sept. 4 in Ronsberg, Germany - according to her owner, Verena Wulf, she's 25! While it's trickier to verify age with unregistered, non-purebred pups for lack of records, I'm curious to know how her story plays out - do you think this pooch will soon get a cake and a press conference, too, or are you still satisfied with Chanel? Weigh in below!
