Will Kimora's Dog Become a Diamond?

It seems to be a perennial debate - are diamonds or a dog truly girl's best friend? Now, don't get me wrong, I looooove diamonds - glittery sparkles always catch my eye, and would love to have like 1,600 diamonds. However (and, this is a biiiiiig however), I'm not so sure how I'd feel about a doggie diamond.

But, once again, I may not be fashion-forward enough. When promoting her new fragrance, Fabulosity, the queen of bling Kimora Lee Simmons touched upon the sad, recent death of her 18-year-old dog, Zoe . . . and mentioned her unique way to commemorate her pup. Diamonds.

"There is a company that makes diamonds out of your loved ones," she said." [They] make diamonds from a little of the carbon from the ash, so I might do that. I might turn her into a diamond."

LifeGem takes the carbon from your deceased pet's (or family member's) ashes from $2,699 for a .20 carat yellow diamond up to $24,999 for a 1.50 carat red or green one - you can only get a colorless diamond up to a half-carat size. They can also create a stone from the carbon from a simple haircut - they'll need about a handful of hair or one cup of the cremated remains to complete their breakthrough process. While it doesn't seem out of range for Kimora's lavish lifestyle, do you think she'll actually go through with it?

Wear Your Animal on Your Sleeve!

With springtime coming up, I've been scouring my fave shops for some cool and light tees to wear when the weather gets warmer. Since I hardly ever have time to shop, between work and spending QT with North and his BFF's at the doggie parks, I usually reserve shopping time for weekends or online. Thankfully, being the animal lover that I am, there are tons of goodies out there that will allow me to display my love for the animal kingdom any time I want. Cruising over Urban Outfitters' latest duds, I saw that they had a number of creature-inspired looks that got me on my own PetMarking mission for themed tee shirts. Like this Cat Eyes tee from UO ($28) . . . the purrr-fect shirt for the kitty lover in me. Dress it up with jeans and some heels for an exotic night out, or wear with shorts while running errands, it works both ways! Oscars' Slideshow: Little Lily Dogs

It's nearly time for this year's Academy Awards, and we're all gearing up for the big night! Buzz has a fun Oscar ballot contest, and Yum already gave us a sweet peek at what they'll be snacking on at the Governors Ball. I love the red carpet . . . especially the glamorous gowns! Even though, most of us wouldn't deck a pup all matchy matchy, there's no reason why we can't aspire to having an outfit for our furry friends that would make even a celebrity jealous! Last year, doggie designer Littly Lily created replica gowns for pets – so see how they measure up to the couture. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next! There's nothing like slipping into a warm robe after a shower on a cold day . . . and now the luxury has gone to the dogs. This new Dog Drying Robe ($39-$69) is made of microfiber for any pooch that just had a bath, or spent a little too much time frolicking in the rain.

Simply slip it over his head, place his paws in and wrap around his body with Velcro fasteners - yes, that's easier said than done. Would your pup snuggle right into this (like a dog Snuggie) or shake and squirm his way away?

Two Bizarre Ways to Put Your Dogs to Work at a Tailgate

It's nearly game time - since your dogs' tail waggin' tailgate is already in full effect, now it's your turn . . . to get them a gift that keeps on giving.

The ~~stylish~~ functional Tailgate Companion has six pockets to put your pooch to work - use it to hold grilling essentials, icy beverages, or even mustard and ketchup (if he's not already sporting it).

If that's not quite his style, swap out a normal neckpiece for the new Kurgo Wander Collar. Its leash ring doubles as a bottle opener. Kinda brilliant in theory yet, while there aren't any laws about walking a dog while drunk, I'm guessing this could violate an open-container policy on normal city streets. But at a tailgate - no problemo.

To the Rescue: Can Adult Dogs Eat Puppy Formula?

Can they? Yes. Should they? Probably not. Although not that different ingredient-wise than adult formulas, puppy-specific kibble usually has more fat and protein.

The meat sources are likely listed first (ie, in higher proportion) for a growing body, which obviously makes it more appealing to an adult dog. The high protein and caloric content can make adult dogs overweight super quickly, so there's a reason the packaging says to only feed to the lil ones for a limited time - that meal for an extended period of time is damaging and dangerous to health.

In fact, some breeders of large dogs (especially those prone to weight issues or bloat) recommend not feeding these puppy formulas more than a few months due to the high content of all those things mentioned above. Did you feed your pets puppy food or move straight into adult bits for the babes?

Super-Cute Gallery: It's All About Stump Now!

Last night this pup made all kinds of history being the first Sussex Spaniel and the oldest dog ever to win Westminster. I think Stump's rather stumptastic and my favorite thing about this pup is hands down (paws up) this trick. Doesn't he look like he's pretending to be a stump posing like that?!

As cute as the pup was in the show ring at MSG, his life hasn't been easy. Although he won the Sporting group when he last competed in 2004, he got a mysterious illness shortly thereafter – "his whole body completely quit" – and spent 19 days in a Texas A&M hospital before being miraculously cured. Since then he's just been hanging out and doing whatever he wants to do . . . and, last night, he wanted to win.

Stumpy! I mean, Stump, is the Best in Show at the 133rd Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show! The oldest winner in the history of Westminster at 10 years old, this Sussex Spaniel last won his group in 2004!
