Good things come in barrels. Barrels of laughs, barrels of monkeys, oh yeah, and barrels of wine! I can't get past the neat, new life an ordinary wine barrel – red, from the looks of it – gets as a doggie bed.

"Boston Terror" Chronicles: North Loves petLINENS!

It's been a while since North's tested out a new product. He's pretty occupied these days, Twittering and all. More online time means he's extra tired at night – yawn.Since the saying goes let sleeping dogs lie, I took a mini-break to blog about his new petLINENS bed. After all, if this snuggly, sleepy look is any testament, I think he approves. The cushions come in two sizes ($15 and $20) – this is the smallest – so both would be great options for even a dog much larger than North, lil pooches that like to sprawl, or a big home with space for the styles.

My favorite part is that you can get a petLINENS set with interchangeable slipcovers so, while one's in the wash, your furry friend can still enjoy naptime in clean luxury like spare doggy sheets. Make Your Picasso Pooch a DIY Coloring Bed

I loooved anything I could customize from mugs to t-shirts since I was a crafty child. And, even years later, I'm craving this super cute DIY bed (and don't think I wouldn't have wanted one then . . .if it had been around, anyway). Bodhi Lotus Dog Bed: Spoiled Sweet or Spoiled Rotten?

So maybe this giant fuzzy dog model caught my eye first, but the brightly colored Bodhi Lotus Dog Bed ($450 to $900) got my attention second. The design was inspired by "the sacred arts of the Far East" and features couture embroidery applied on soft microsuede covers.

There's something incredibly earthy, Zen, and fun about the bed, but it's hard not to get caught up on the very spendy price tag. What do you think of it?

I've been spending a substantial amount of time trying to cruise the Internet for steals and deals, and my latest hunt uncovered these super-cute Polka-Dot covers from Pottery Barn. With medium ($24.99) and large ($29.99) still available, if you've picked up a bed insert in the past (or already own any cushion either 36-x-48 inches or 50-inch square), here's a great way to switch up the pattern this season. At first glance, you may mistake these pet beds for the ever popular Crocs. Now, the shoes themselves fill me with questions (how? why? who?), but leave it to Giggle to spot this over on Dlisted and give me quite a laugh as well.
