I couldn't stop laughing looking through these cute videos that laurengrand sent to me! It really made me think that maybe kitties are secretly tech-savvy?! There are plenty of suggestions to keep them off the keys or away from the cords, have you ever needed to deter your cats from computer's technology? Hey, maybe they don't call it a mouse for nothing!

The Spotted Group Needs Your Eagle Eyes!

I know you've seen cute pets or crazy wildlife on your travels about town so stop holding out on me! If you ever see something you can't resist snapping - or even questions about guess that breed or find this product, too - forward all your requests to the brand-new Spotted! group. After all, one of the newest features of the PetSugar Community is the ability to mobile blog!

Mobile blogging is simple to get started:

If you're not already a community member, create an account.
Next up, click Join Group on the top right-hand side of the Spotted! group.
After you register, please go to Edit Profile under your member name drop-down, click on the Post by Email tab, and follow the simple instructions on that page.
Now you're free to post piccys straight from your cell phone! Simply send a message with the photo attached, a title in the subject line, and any text in the body of the email to spotted@onsugar.com - you'll get an email back asking you to confirm so just reply and it should show up in just a few minutes! (Get a detailed explanation of how to do this here.)

First of all, join the Spotted! group.
Click the New Post button on the top right.
Enter a Title - like your pet's name - and click Insert Image to upload a picture of your pal.
If you'd like, you can add more details about your animal in the body section.

Doggie Language Decoded by Computers

Do you ever feel like you know what your pet is trying to tell you? Well, now, so do computers. Newly developed software can recognize dogs by their bark as well as decode the universal language of barking. Scientists at Eötvös Loránd University in Hungary have discovered that dogs have specific barks when presented with different situations. Fourteen Hungarian Sheepdogs were recorded when alone, when approached by a stranger, while playing, and during a fight. The sounds were then run through a program that was able to identify features of each bark from the dogs. Although it's not perfect, the computer was successful at identifying when the dog was barking at a stranger 63 percent of the time, while identifying play was a bit tougher at a six percent success rate. Scientists think that is because barking while at play has evolved with the domestication of the animal. It just goes to show that I really do know what North is telling me! Do you know what your pup is saying when he barks?

Recycled Computer Monitor Turned Cat Bed

This cat bed made from an old computer monitor provides the perfect spot for kitty to perch in while you get your daily LOL Cat fix on your computer. It was created by an Etsy crafter who not only painted the monitor shell, but even had a custom pillow made for the interior. The theme is decidedly old-school cat (there are fish and paw prints decorating the side), while the rest of the details are decidedly new-school digital (reclaimed keyboard keys on the front spell out "kitty" and the old "on/off" button has a cat face painted on it). This particular edition has sold out, but my guess is you could easily create one yourself with a monitor, some paint, and a bit of fabric.

As captivating as paper shadow and nature patterns can be, why not download awwww-inducing screen savers from the movie Must Love Dogs? Yes, I realize it's more than a couple years old and, yes, I also realize that many of you probably never saw it – all the more reason to check these pups out now. Their adorable, slobbery faces make it hard to walk away from your computer when it goes idle, and even harder to start working again. Best yet, they're free for both Mac and PC!
