New Puppy Alert! Martha Stewart Gets Another Ghenghis Khan
That's right, Martha Stewart has added to her furry family again and, this time, it's another Chow Chow named Ghenghis Khan. In case you forgot, Martha planned to bring home a pup of that same name last year, before the dog perished in a tragic propane explosion. As it turns out Franny and Sharkey actually got to meet their canine pal already, who's also called G.K.

The Results Are in: Most Missed Celebrity Pet
I'd say the shocking news about Daisy would rank up there in the year's biggest headlines. The beloved maltipoo of Jessica Simpson was snatched by a coyote in front of the celebrity's eyes in September and, sadly, has not been found.
We've seen this pooch chillin' at the airport in a fancy carrier, posing at a launch for Fancy perfume, and all around town as the doggie was a constant companion in Jessica's life, peeking out at the paparazzi.

In addition to her notable acting career, one thing that impresses me about Hilary Swank is that she doesn't just support a cause based on her celebrity, she actually stands behind it in her personal life, too.
As the acting ambassador to Iams Home 4 the Holidays campaign, she recently shared her request for others:

So many cute faces, so little time, but kudos for crowning your favorite new furry friend to wrap up the first of our Best of 2009 polls! In a super-close race (presidential pet, Bo, held tightly to the second spot), I'm happy to congratulate the super-adorable Cha-Cha.
