Tunnels, hurdles, ramps and ropes, feline agility is an up-and-coming sport for many cat lovers to teach furry friends. (Refresh your memory on this activity here.) I'm not certain I've ever met a cat that's completed a course, but I'd love to hear from you! Would your kitties walk right up or walk the other way?

I know many pups love doing agility and obstacle runs, but who knew kitties could do them, too? The big CFA-Iams Cat Championship held over the weekend at Madison Square Garden featured this event in addition to an adoption area and breed showcase and judging. What exactly comprises a cat course?

That's right, doggies aren't the only ones getting their own reality show! Stay tuned for a new show on Animal Planet called Housecat Housecall, where experienced vets help real families solve issues with their furry friends. I haven't gotten a sneak peek at the series yet, but I'm imagining it to be a bit like Supernanny for the four-legged parents who need HELP.

While my house is feline-free, I've got plenty of friends with kitty housemates. Most of the time, they're pretty receptive to my overtures, but here's an easy tip I've learned the sharp way.

Hotel owner Frank Case was an animal lover. So when a stray cat came through his doors in the early '30s, Frank welcomed him in with a champagne flute full of milk. Keeping with the tradition that Frank began back then, there have been many cats that have called the Algonquin Hotel home, and each has earned a sort of celebrity status — children's books have been penned about the frolicking felines!
