Who doesn't love the satisfying pop-pop-pop of a sheet of bubble wrap? Today is the 50th birthday of the packing material turned amazing stress-reliever, which actually started (believe it or not) as a type of wallpaper! Popping a sheet of the stuff takes me back to my childhood, when sometimes the packaging was far more exciting than the actual gift inside. My sister and I used to fight over sheets of the stuff, but luckily it now comes many different digital forms, making it not only better for the environment but easier to endlessly pop away. Today, celebrate bubble wrap's birthday with one of these fun games for Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, or your computer.

Bubble Wrap Calendar Has My Fingers Itching to Pop

Everyone knows I'm a big fan of bubble wrap (little Katie Sugar loves it too!). Whenever a package comes in, I pray for the bubbles instead of those lame peanuts that I can't do anything with (besides toss them up in the air and create my own personal snow globe).

The Bubble Wrap Key Chain has quelled my need for popping somewhat, but I need more! More bubble wrap, I say!

My love affair with bubble wrap began as a small child when my parents bought something wrapped in that noisy stuff. I remember sitting on the carpet meticulously popping bubble after bubble. So, when I learned that today is Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day, I felt compelled to share this love with you . . . and my dog. I had some of the packing material stored for my next breakable shipment so I brought it over to North before I left for work. In his defense, he was still in his bed, but I tried popping it near him. His eyes peeked open for a second but he appeared neither startled nor interested. I tried jumping on it. No dice. Although his eventual look clearly said "go away," some pets (like Jack the kitten) love to hop and pop up and down on this DIY toy.

One of the best things about being a gadget freak is a constant stream of packages filled with bubble wrap. Sure it isn't earth-friendly, but no I don't know anyone who can walk by it without a pop or two.

Enter the gadget you never knew you never needed - but still totally want. The PuchiPuchi is a small keychain gadget that lets you experience the joy of popping bubble wrap over and over again. Apparently, the Japanese device features eight buttons that each make a popping sound when you press them. The Office, "Jury Duty": Best Lines of The Night

After a solid cold opening of Andy dancing to "Footloose" in the warehouse (think dancing on bubble wrap and punching packing peanuts), the rest of this week's episode of The Office is a success. We find out early on that Jim was called to jury duty for a half day that he turned into five days. Dwight catches on to Jim's plan early on and does everything in his power to bring him down. On top of all the cute kids that show up for "Jury Duty," Jim and Dwight go at it. Oscar has some awesome moments. And I love this new friendship between Kevin and Erin that's blossoming before our eyes.

This is one of my favorite episodes I can remember in a long time. Not too plot driven and chock-full of solid comedic writing plus a handful endearing moments that just made me feel good. To get a few of my favorite lines, just keep reading.

Todd Oldham to Bring Kid Made Modern to Target With New Line of Art Supplies

Art supplies and crafts collection, designed by a real-life designer, at Target prices? Sign me up! When Todd Oldham first published Kid Made Modern ($16) almost three years ago, he created a minirevolution in the world of arts and crafts. Inspired by the most influential midcentury artists - including Alexander Calder, Charles and Ray Eames, and Marimekko - he sought to teach lil ones about their creativity through 52 projects kids could do at home, everything from creating flowers out of wire (Calder) to making polka-dotted book covers using bubble wrap (Marimekko). The projects all used a combination of household items and store-bought crafting products.

This Spring the designer is expanding his drive to inspire creativity in kids through a new partnership with Target. On May 20, Target stores nationwide will introduce more than 50 Kid Made Modern art supplies and kits, all designed and tested by Oldham himself. I got a sneak peek at the line last week and can already tell you that it will be on your must-buy list! The beautifully made products - including crayons in various shapes and sizes (the pyramid one was my favorite!), board book-making kits, gorgeous wooden blocks primed for painting, and learn-to-sew kits that feature Charley Harper's gorgeous images - are all artfully packaged in recyclable boxes (many of which double as display cases) and will all be priced under $20 (talk about great birthday presents!).

I've been making my lasagna recipe since my early 20s. When I moved into my first apartment at age 19, I decided to learn my way around a kitchen and started experimenting with my favorite cuisine, Italian. At first, more spaghetti landed on the ceiling than on the plate, but ultimately, I perfected my go to dish: T's Meaty Lasagna.

It became my good luck dish. I made it for my friends every time one of my TV movies premiered, which back then was a lot. Hey friends, come eat lasagna and watch me get stalked, killed, and shoot a bad pimp. Ahhh, those were the days! Nowadays, I make my lasagna for family and friends whenever we feel like a cozy home cooked meal. This Christmas / New Year’s, we went away to a house in the mountains. We didn't get any snow like expected, but I did make my lasagna dinner! Here's the recipe...
