Sadly, North couldn't come with me to work on Take Your Dog To Work Day, but Pleo could! This dinosaur, which I renamed Lexi, is a robotic alternapet and makes a interesting – albeit a bit noisy – addition to a non-pet-friendly workplace. North already sniffed her out so I brought her in to Sugar HQ to see if she could blend in.

Meet Lex! Thanks so much for helping me name her – I agree it's a great suggestion so I've been referring my new alternapal by the pet name of Lexi. Before I share all the neat things a Pleo does later this week, I wanted to introduce North to the lil girl.

That's right, North has a new pal! I'm testing out a "pet" dino for the next two weeks, the Pleo. Now, I'm not sure how I'm feeling about the name so I'd love for you to help me rename my new lil guy (or girl?).

An essential duty of kitty ownership is cleaning up the poop — can't be avoided. Now there are plenty of pricey products that come highly recommended (like the Litter Robot); however, community member Arcsis shared her love for an affordable alternative in the Street Team —this Omega Paw Roll 'n Clean Litter Box ($29):
My favorite thing about this is you never have to touch, or even come close to touching waste. You fill it with your favorite scooping litter, roll it upside down, roll back and empty the drawer.

What could possibly imitate a moving mouse better than an actually moving mouse?! This cat seems alternately creeped out and captivated by this zippy robotic rodent. Have you ever tested out electronic pet toys on your dogs or cats .

No people allowed, people. That's the policy on the Pet Airways fleet offering main cabin travel for pampered pals only. Although it began taking reservations when it launched with an introductory one-way fare of $150, prices now range from $250–$300 and take off from regional airports close to five US cities — New York, Washington, Chicago, Denver, and Los Angeles — and seats are selling fast.
