After that fun Jonathan Adler pottery post I just couldn't get enough of the animal home accessories. So I dug up a few cute things from one of my favorite shopping inspirations, Charles and Marie and UK design shop Slam Design. I especially love the Dog Magazine Rack and fish drain stopper. Seriously, how cute is that!?

I also took a liking to the Deer Bookends, the Seal Coin Bank, and the Farm Animal Rubber Bands, and would totally toss the kitty pocket mirror into my bag. And just to throw in something for the outside of your home, there's a solar birdhouse that boasts a light-up perch. It's like a little porch light for your winged friends!

Bare Bones: Jax & Bones Toys and Accessories

While visiting the awesome Heathy Spot pet shop in Santa Monica, I spotted these super cute Rope Toys ($14) from Jax & Bones that I knew North would love to sink his chompers into. Not only that, but for each toy purchased from Jax & Bones, part of the proceeds will be donated to the Rescue Train Organization, which helps find homes for pets and operates a no-kill rescue program.

Although you may think this necklace would go perfectly with your new Fall bag you just picked up from Nordies, I'll have to ask you to step away from the accessory. Cause unfortunately for you, this one was made for fashionistas of the furry and four-legged persuasion.

This Cuddly Ruff Turquoise Necklace is a true investment and quite the treat for Fido – an eight inch strand is $350 dollars! And if you have a bigger pooch that you'd love to drape with bling, a 20 inch strand goes for $440 bucks. I don't know where you guys shop, but I just saw a necklace like this at Forever 21 for $15 dollars. But of course, that one wasn't made with real turquoise or 14 karat white gold. Go figure.

Fall is my favorite time of year, mostly due to the great weather, but it's really the season's fashions that get me all a twitter! Every year in February, celebs are gifted with swag beyond my wildest dreams at The Oscars. This year, the mother of all award shows has taken note of the number of celebrities with pets - and apparently recognizing how much we all spend on our little companions - Oscar included some pretty sweet items for Fido and Sassy as well.

Clothes For the Hip(ster) Puppy

American Apparel, known for its simple garments, hipster image, and activism in the community has finally gone to the dogs. Doggie clothes, that is. Recently expanding their line of pet apparel, I caught these while perusing for some new shirts for myself. In addition to loving their ribbed puppy tees, they now offer a California Fleece Dog Vest ($16) with contrasting collar and leg openings in 22 color varieties! Now, I know some of you are on the fence about dogs in clothing when it's not cold weather, but I suppose if you dig your American Apparel duds, your pup can too! The streamlined, blank slate style of these tees would make a great foundation for a DIY craft project I've got in mind . . . stay tuned!
