sashak...I read on another, much more political post, you said she was beagle/terrier? How is that mix as far as behavior and stuff? We really want a dog and are leaning toward a beagle (hus' fave) but I heard from a lot of people that they are diggers and yappers. (Digging up my carpet would be BAD!)

Butrfly, I can tell you that my beagle is neither a digger nor a yapper. He is a handful, though. Beagles are very smart and sweet, but very stubborn and hard to train.

well, she is very smart & very active. She does bark at other animals & at me when she wants to play, but she isn't really yappy. We have a good sized fenced in yard & we take her for walks frequently. She does dig, mostly chasing the moles in the ground. She pulls paper out of the trash can & loves to play w/ the toilet paper roll too. Whip is right, they are really smart & learn quickly, but only if they want to. & they are a handful, but they are sooo much fun!
