As a former NYC resident, North and I could often be found strolling the streets of the West Village. Even though our favorite dog supply shop has long since shut its doors, the new West Village Collection from Up Country makes me reminisce about our time in the Big Apple. Of the patterns, Gothic Vine brings back fond memories of the pretty brownstones covered with these tangles and makes me miss our long jaunts in the city.

You may remember Bowlingual, the doggie-speak-to-human-speak translator that was re-released last year in Japan. Well, if you're intrigued, yet still not willing to shell out the $247 for it, soon there's an app for that.
Noisy pups do their thing into the phone's mic, the thing is then translated, and you — along with the rest of the world — are informed of his deepest desires as you can post his statement straight to Twitter.

New Product Alert! Puppy Tweets
I like to tweet on my pooch's behalf — @norththedog — from time to time, but let's not kid ourselves; it's what I think he'd be saying since he can't talk or type for himself. However, come Fall, he'll (hopefully) get the chance to try with the newly announced Puppy Tweets toy by Mattel ($30) making its debut at next month's Toy Fair in NYC.
It's essentially a plastic tag with sound and motion sensors for the dog's normal collar but attaches to a computer's USB port to share all day's activities (for those who've yet to set up a puppy cam).

Best known for his quality leather duffles and briefcases, Britain-based Bill Amberg expanded his business to include our furry friends, launching a new Bespoke dog accessories collection in London on Tuesday.
Including a chic bed, leather lead, and shearling-lined coat, there are no prices listed online yet, but I'm betting the hand-crafted, vegetable-dyed leather won't come too cheaply. Check out the shown off items in the gallery and let me know if anything catches your fancy in the comments below.
