I definitely know I notice pets in films, but I think I've got good recall for pets on sitcoms or reality shows, too – many times that's what keeps me tuning in week after week. Have you ever watched a TV show more for the animals than the two-legged stars? I definitely tuned into Frasier for Eddie more than the actual plotline, and I remember when the show was on (and "Moose" was still alive), he got more fan mail than anyone else on the show.

2Yeah, I love the "Dog Whisperer" b/c of the psychology of the dogs. I guess this counts, since you included reality shows.
