I could literally spend hours in the animal corner of my fave bookstore browsing over all the picture and instructional "how-to" books I can get my hands on.
When I stopped in at Fideaux St. Helena, I probably should have started to pay rent since I was standing there so long leafing through the glossy pages of books like "Little Dogs," and "Winery Dogs."

Although I love (and at times, couldn't live without) the convenience of grabbing a bag of North's fave treats on my way through the grocery store, I sometimes find the urge to dig into those "treat by the pound" buckets at nearby pet store, Babies, or even Petco if I happen to be there.
Sometimes it ends up being more expensive, but it's kinda fun picking out the treats you want instead of tossing a bag into your cart. But does anyone ever worry about germs on those treats that are open to whatever is floating around, or is it just me being totally paranoid?

I've been known to tinker around in the kitchen and whip up some peanut butter treats for North and I from time to time, and sometimes I even try my hand at making something with carob, a pet-safe replacement for chocolate. But I must be seriously lacking in the baking creativity department because these treats put mine to shame.
