How "FindToto" Works . . . and Will It Work For Jess?

Earlier this week we learned of Daisy's abduction by a coyote. Sadly, when it comes to wild predators, it's less likely that pooch could come back (or be safely returned). Leaving no stone unturned in her search, it's been reported that Jessica Simpson has turned to FindToto to continue the mission.

Curious about this service, I hunted around for more information. Like an "Amber Alert" but for furry friends, the address where your pet was last spotted becomes the center of the search and the company then automatically contacts thousands of your neighbors to alert them. When you're a celebrity with over a million Twitter followers and news organizations across the world documenting your every move, chances are your neighbors already know about it. But for those people who couldn't reach thousands with a single click and in situations of simple escapes, this service seems useful for pets that aren't tagged or microchipped. Prices range from $70 (for 250 calls) up to 10,000 calls at $875 - would you test it out?

Breaking News: Coyote Snatches Daisy in Front of Jessica!

There's some sad news out of LA this evening: Jessica Simpson's pooch was taken by a coyote. She just tweeted about the picking of her precious Daisy right in front of her face. I cannot even imagine:

My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes. HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!

Unfortunately, coyotes present a constant danger for outdoor pets and it's hard to track exactly what happened after the dog disappeared. If you allow pets outside in areas where these animals (and other dangerous creatures) roam free, please let this be a lesson to you. Fingers crossed for a miracle to bring the maltipoo home.

Do You Share Your Opinions (When No One Asks You)?

As much as I like to joke about giving Daisy a bath and a trim, I can't guarantee I would actually say that to Jessica Simpson's face (you know, if I met her). In a similar vein, I recently met the pooch belonging to my friend's roommate – still a total stranger but my immediate instinct when looking at this dog was "bathe" followed by "haircut." I kept my mouth shut during the visit but later asked my pal if she ever saw the dog washed.

Unlike witnessing a question of abuse or neglect, it seemed the pup was otherwise well-cared for other than her appearance. What do you think? Have you ever shared similar opinions with others . . . or does this sound too judgey to you?

In the Spotlight: Daisy Helps Jessica Be Fancy

Is it just me or is Daisy looking better than ever these days?! Looks like the maltipoo got a trim to share the spotlight at Jessica Simpson's perfume launch in Dallas over the weekend – after all the fragrance is called "Fancy" so could she bring along a pup with a sloppy cut? I think not.I know North would remain atop that table for about one second . . . followed by breaking glass and his dive into the audience for kisses. In the Spotlight: Jessica Performs Live and Polished Daisy, Too

Well, it's the first time in three years that Jessica Simpson has given a live show . . . and who better to accompany her to the 16th Annual Country Thunder USA in Twin Lakes, WI than her two fave snuggle buddies, Daisy and Tony.While she was performing hits off her forthcoming country album – like Come On Over – I'm betting someone kept lil Daisy's paws safe from the ground backstage while Jess was onstage . . . hey, maybe even Tony himself. I think this pup was looking extra clean and freshly groomed – check her out yourself in the pictures below.

In the Spotlight: Daisy Can Stand!

Well, hello there fluffball. Seems like you can stand after all . . . although you must not move quickly because I don't think I'd put my crazy pooch that close to the ~~x-ray machine~~ super fun looking tunnel. Jessica Simpson, Ashlee, and Daisy geared to get up and go at LAX yesterday – it seems like they brought a ton of luggage, so hopefully including all the right adventure gear. Despite her ever-shaggy mane, I do love this pooch so see some more photos (with the Sac Chien) when you read more.

Don't get me wrong, I think this maltipoo is one cute, little furball but I really wish she didn't appear so unkempt. The disheveled look may be hot on Johnny Depp . . . on Daisy, not so much. Jess is Driving Miss Daisy

Aw, it looks like someone took herself and her pooch for a grooming! Both Jessica and Daisy's hair had a particularly sheeny shine while out on a drive in LA this week. Jess has been looking great these days, and it's certainly not only about her excellent new hair color. Her boyfriend John Mayer is out and proud about his relationship with Jess (ooor at least he's not totally denying it) and he's ready to defend her to anyone who's gonna give him flack. As he told TimeOut New York, "I'm having the best time of my life, so if the names don't make sense to people, that's so small to me." Considering the negative press Jess has endured the past few years, it must be nice to have someone standing up for her for a change.
