Pet Pic of the Day: Rocksy Is Ready For Summer

Add one more fashion-obsessed pup to the list - Rocksy was a model in a furry fashion show last weekend and strutted her stuff down the runway in her bikini. I'm ready to throw on my swimsuit too! Come on, Summer! Any day now.

I know this looks like a lot of steps, but once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze!

First of all, join the Pet Pics group.
Click the pink "Share" menu on the top left side of the page.
Choose "Photos" and “Upload Photos."
Give your Gallery a “Title.”
Fill in the “Body” with details about your pet.
Click “Groups and Privacy" just below the "Search Title" box.
Choose the audience for your story to “Pet Pics!” in the dropdown menu.
Change channel to “Pets.”
Fill in tag field with relevant tags.
Don't forget to include your pet's name!
Click “I’m done” to submit content.

So join the Pet Pics group and share photos of your adorable pets! Yours just might end up on the PetSugar homepage.

Although I don't agree with animal racing, this action shot of Simon Hays reminds me of the wiener-dog racing flick Wiener Takes All. I'm already in love with Simon, so just imagining his little legs powering him to the finish line really makes me chuckle.

Benson is another lucky pup! He is aimeesbell's foster puppy, rescued through the Homeward Bound Project at Mississippi State University, and hopefully soon, Benson will be sent to his forever home! Thank you amieesbell for opening your heart and home to a puppy in need!

Newton has quite the social calendar! When he's not in daycare, he's probably taking walks in the tall grass. Or you might find him jetting off on weekend trips to the Rocky Mountains, or vacationing in style in the city. Of course when he's not busy stealing shoes, he's playing with the big boys like Axel – a Great Dane cross. He's a big dog at heart you know.

Frenchie Mac and his Uncle Austin love lounging in the sun. As a matter of fact, they have one particular spot that they both love, and subsequently battle it out to own. Thankfully, we got them on a day that they could both squeeze into the spot together. I would hate to see it get ugly.

At the Movies: Wiener Takes All

If there were any event I might want to see in person besides the World's Ugliest Dog Competition, it'd be a screening of Wiener Takes All! I've been hearing rumblings for weeks now about this new "dogumentary" that takes a behind-the-scenes look at competitive dachshund racing, and I finally found the trailer. While I definitely don't support dog racing of any kind, I've heard the film is packed with juicy bits of controversy – lying, cheating, steroids! – about this, well, controversial sport.

Since the dogs are oh-so-adoro, and they've been selling out all screenings during their recent Film Festival tour, I have a feeling Wiener Takes All must pack a pretty powerful pawful of information to be so popular. Check out the cute trailer for this indie film when you read more.
