Sienna and Bess Have a Girls' Day Out

Just two gals out for a Fall stroll, nothing to see here. Oh, who I am kidding, I'm happy to see so much of Sienna and Bess stateside, with her favorite red leash! I'm missing Porgy, but are you secretly hoping he's home with Jude?
Whether or not they're sharing custody, or if she's just not a fan of juggling two leashes, I hope her other dog has an equally fancy leash - while a vegetable-dyed, Eco-Leather Flat Stitch Lead ($26) in red looks smashing against dark fur, I think the lighter-colored pup would look dashing in a forest green hue to make the color pop!

Found! January Jones's Roped Leash

New Kittens Alert! Empress Tang and Princess Peony

What pretty Persian faces! Meet Empress Tang (at right) and Princess Peony (at left), the two kittens recently joining Martha Stewart's furry menagerie.

After losing Paw Paw, Ghenghis Khan and, most recently, a Himalayan named Mozart, I'm betting these two will keep her other pets rather occupied - smooshies Francesca and Sharkey already smell trouble!

The tricolor calicos already have another high-profile connection as she learned about them from Grace Coddington, who used some of this breeder's cats in a past Vogue photo shoot. From the looks at it, these 5-month-old kittens are well on their way to a future in modeling . . . for Martha, at least. Congratulations!

New Puppies Alert! Dolly and Ninja

That's right, there's double the trouble here! Two teensy pups packed away in a celeb-favorite, LV carrier and just who do these cuties belong to? Heidi and Spencer Pratt. Even though Dolly and Ninja were presented to the paparazzi yesterday, they were carried for most of the way - a good thing, since the little ones have surely not received all their puppy shots (like Parvo) and should not be exposed to other dogs or outside dangers just yet. Here's hoping we'll soon see the twosome (the dogs) on The Hills this season . . . if they slow down long enough for the cameras to catch them, that is. Famke and Licorice's Big Bike Adventure in the Big Apple

Well hello there, Licky, how I've missed you! The now-8-year-old pooch tried out a different fitness routine - biking. There's been some recent news out in California about banning even recreational cyclists from ~~walking~~ running dogs due to the dangers presented to nearby pedestrians, but this pup seems to be in the clear for people territory.

Personally, I haven't ridden a bike since undergrad (save a couple vacation afternoons) and know my crazy yet scaredy cat pooch would not be too fond of running alongside something like this, even if I wanted to test it out. Have you ever tried this fitness routine, either for a quick trip or a lengthy excursion? How "FindToto" Works . . . and Will It Work For Jess?

Earlier this week we learned of Daisy's abduction by a coyote. Sadly, when it comes to wild predators, it's less likely that pooch could come back (or be safely returned). Leaving no stone unturned in her search, it's been reported that Jessica Simpson has turned to FindToto to continue the mission.

Curious about this service, I hunted around for more information. Like an "Amber Alert" but for furry friends, the address where your pet was last spotted becomes the center of the search and the company then automatically contacts thousands of your neighbors to alert them. When you're a celebrity with over a million Twitter followers and news organizations across the world documenting your every move, chances are your neighbors already know about it. But for those people who couldn't reach thousands with a single click and in situations of simple escapes, this service seems useful for pets that aren't tagged or microchipped. Prices range from $70 (for 250 calls) up to 10,000 calls at $875 - would you test it out?

Breaking News: Coyote Snatches Daisy in Front of Jessica!

There's some sad news out of LA this evening: Jessica Simpson's pooch was taken by a coyote. She just tweeted about the picking of her precious Daisy right in front of her face. I cannot even imagine:

My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes. HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!

Unfortunately, coyotes present a constant danger for outdoor pets and it's hard to track exactly what happened after the dog disappeared. If you allow pets outside in areas where these animals (and other dangerous creatures) roam free, please let this be a lesson to you. Fingers crossed for a miracle to bring the maltipoo home.
