Hello Kissy Face! I just got my new pet-gear catalog from Target in the mail and all the cute stuff makes me want to rush to the store ASAP. While they've recently expanded their online pet selection, I couldn't yet find the Boots & Barkley gear (a private Target label) on the web.

Strong chompers take note: this toy's a sturdy option that will not only live up to powerful teeth, but also give back with each bite. You see, Vibram, the leading provider of military footwear for the most conditions on earth has teamed up with FetchDog to create a nontoxic rubber shape from the same molds used to make the soles of military boots and added a mountaineering rope for toss and tug times, too. Two bucks of every Chewy Shoe purchase goes towards the DogTags program at Puppies Behind Bars.

I worry about scratching posts that look too much like my bed — how will kitty know to scratch this and not my frame and carpet?! I know I'm not giving her enough credit, as carpeted wood scratchers are all the rage and some of the sturdiest, sleek designs around. Take this Wedge model we previewed at last Fall's SuperZoo, it blends right into the room and looks stylish to boot.

I know what an investment a dog bed can be. You pick out just the right size, color, shape, and feel, then dig into your pocketbook cause your furry friend is totally worth the price. But, after a few months, do these new digs seem totally worn out, leaving you searching for yet another new bed?

I don't know about you, but I expect my lil guy to spoil me rotten this Sunday in honor of Mother's Day. Sure, he can't serve me gingerbread pancakes in bed or call my favorite salon for a mani-pedi appointment, but I'll be celebrating my doggie motherhood with the best of them — champagne glass (and leash!) in hand.
Take action for your favorite dog by gifting his mom with a token honoring her unconditional love.

So big, wrinkled, and smooshy to boot, say hello to newest breed to be entered in the Westminster Dog Show. Although originally classified into three varieties, the Parisian, the Toulouse and the Bordeaux depending on the region of France and the jobs they were required to do, today this breed's known simply as the Dogue de Bordeaux (or even more simply as the French Mastiff).
The fawn colored working dogs weigh in over 100 pounds and serve as good guard dogs as well as attached and affectionate companions to a master.

Savvy's always helping me save money and stay in the black, and penny pinching often means reusing a costume or even using none at all! Although my pup's got a special getup all ready for tomorrow, there are plenty of ways to transform pieces in your pup's wardrobe – or even your own – into a festive Halloween disguise.
- Prepster: If your furry friend already owns a polo shirt or even some tennis chic pieces, put it on, pop the collar, and you're almost there.

Over the weekend, I took off to find my nearest Petco here in SF to check out their Halloween costume photo extravaganza taking place at stores nationwide. Furry friends of all kinds were invited to come dressed in costume, and have a fun piccy taken to remember the fun forever. The photographs were totally inexpensive ($5 plus tax), and came with a cute pumpkin frame to boot.

We all know that with these hostile economic times, we gotta watch what we spend – you never know how low the DOW will go tomorrow! So in the spirit of saving some cash, I scoured the Internet to find some awesome items that are deeply discounted. There's no reason to stop spoiling your favorite furry friends just 'cause you want to watch your budget, but you may want to hold off on buying those $350 dollar boots for just a bit longer!
