Andy Rooney's Take on Westminster

Andy Rooney is usually too grumpy for my taste, but I got a kick out of his report on the 132nd Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, which aired as part of last night's 60 Minutes. Apparently Rooney attends the event every year and claims he's "never met a bad dog at the show," even though he can't always identify the breeds. I couldn't help but giggle at the visual of him checking out the cute doggies. Or maybe it was just the juxtaposition of a grumpy old man next to pretty pups. Either way, watch the video for a sneak peek at some of the dogs that didn't make it into the winning rounds. What do you think of dog show handlers?
These Zoo Babies Walk Within 30 Minutes and Outrun Humans at Four Days

How adorable are these two twin boys?! The very rare Peninsular pronghorn duo is only the second set born in the U.S. ever (remember the first set here). Not only do they have super big ears, they also have super speedy feet – pronghorns are the second fastest animal on Earth – next to the African cheetahs – in short distance running. Within 30 minutes of birth, babes are already taking first steps and, within four days, these antelopes can outrun humans. What's next? Adults can run up to 70 miles-per-hour and maintain a speed of 40 to 60 mph without showing any signs of distress for over an hour. Whoa!

There are more advanced options for those doggies who have mastered the basics, and trainer Heidi Dixner includes unlimited email support with her paid classes in addition to offering extra one-on-ones in your home ($60 per hour) or individual sessions in Red Rover's Nashville location ($20 per 20 minutes). And if your dog wants to learn how to dance, then he's in luck - they now offer freestyle classes to get you started off on the right paw!
