Congratulations to the Giant Schnauzer, Jafrak Philippe Olivier! The third time's the charm for this pooch, who has never come out on top during his previous efforts – and beat out some pretty awesome competitors.

Rounding up the groups competing at Crufts this year, this Samoyed Vandreem Imperial Hermioni by Berezniki won the Pastoral group. Caraway Celebrate Life, the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, won the Terrier group while a Giant Schnauzer, Jafrak Philippe Olivier, captured the Working group title. Finally it was, "Max," the Beagle (officially called Dialynne Maximus) coming out atop the Hound group.

Crufts is underway and thus far we've seen the winners of three groups. Yesterday, the Utility group was won by this Japanese Shiba Inu, Janeryls in the Line of Fire and the Toy group by Chihuahua (Smooth Coat) Gibeltarik Happy Go Lucky. Today the Spaniel (American Cocker), San Jo's Born to Party won the Gundog group – and what a perfect name for Friday!

The time has come for the largest dog show in the world — Crufts features over 23,000 pooches! Sadly, it's not televised (live) and it takes place in England, so it's not something most of us can watch. Sigh.

Do you recognize this furry face? It's Cha-Cha-Cha, Charmin. (Sorry, I'm feeling punchy.) The Sealyham Terrier won the 2007 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship, captured the terrier group title for the 2008 Westminster Dog Show and now just won Crufts Best in Show! After last August's documentary claiming the Crufts Kennel Club allowed (or, at the very least, did not protect against) damaging breeding practices, both the RSPCA and major sponsor Pedigree pulled out of partnerships with this event, and the BBC television refused to air the show.
