2010 Westminster Winners: Non-Sporting Group

My biased opinion had me waiting on the edge of the couch (with North) to see which pooch would win the hodgepodge Non-Sporting Group.

My biased opinion had me waiting on the edge of the couch (with North) to see which pooch would win the hodgepodge Non-Sporting Group. Now, as you can see from the final four, no Boston Terrier love again this year. Oh well. But three smooshies made it far!

2010 Westminster Winners: Toy Group

With the smallest pups of all, the toys are far from playthings.

With the smallest pups of all, the toys are far from playthings. Oftentimes considered a lotta dog in a little package, this group's judge made funny sounds to get the pups to respond . . . and did they ever! Which of the wee pooches will represent the Toy Group in the Best in Show judging tonight for the 134th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show? Find out when you read more

Ain't nuthin' but a hound dog .

Ain't nuthin' but a hound dog . . . umm, make that 26 hound dogs. For the first set showing on Monday night at MSG, the Hound Group kicked things off right!

It's Almost Time — Peep Pretty Pups Prepping For Westminster

Who's ready for the big show?!

Who's ready for the big show?! In a change from years' past, Day One at Westminster will welcome a different set of groups. This afternoon Best of Breeds were awarded for the Hound, Toy, Non-Sporting, and Herding sets, and the Group judging starts at 8 p.m. EST to find our first four finalists. (Last year had Terriers, not Toys, on the first night.)

I'm definitely tuning in to recap the top dogs and not-so-secretly hoping for a smooshy (like North or Samson) to capture their group.

Do You Really, Really Know Westminster: Version III?

Tick tock to show time and, as I've done in years' past, it's time to see if you not only know Westminster or really know it, but really, really know this event.

Tick tock to show time and, as I've done in years' past, it's time to see if you not only know Westminster or really know it, but really, really know this event. Some things have changed while others stay the same, so check it out and see how well you do!

Will You Watch Westminster?

Of course, North and I will be tuning in to the 134th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on Feb.

Of course, North and I will be tuning in to the 134th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on Feb. 15 and 16 — we never miss it! Even though I'm disappointed that Mario Lopez can't host after all, maybe that would have proven too distracting from the pups?!

Regardless, dog show madness is starting (with the AKC/ Eukanuba National Championship airing this weekend) and I plan to lead up to the big NYC event with breed slideshows and show trivia before covering the winners — will you be watching it as well . . . or just waiting for my recaps?

Viewers' Choice: Westminster Redo?

As dog lovers but not necessarily dog experts, we tend to root for breeds we like, dogs we've seen, or just those pups that are looking extra cute.

As dog lovers but not necessarily dog experts, we tend to root for breeds we like, dogs we've seen, or just those pups that are looking extra cute. Many times, I can be disappointed when a dog I think is super-adorable doesn't win – I'm not exactly up on each breed's ideal, after all. Check out the clip of the final seven – including the Scottie's "accident" – who did you really want to win?

Let Them Eat Steak . . . And by "Them" I Mean Stump

Stump would like the steak please.

Stump would like the steak please. Oops, you lost a bit there, buddy. That's right in addition to a catapult to popularity for the country's reigning Best In Show, Stump got his choice of a juicy steak or tender chicken breast for a special snack. BTW, that's not just any bit of meat either – it was served up at Charlie Palmer's Metrazur restaurant at Grand Central Terminal as part of a charity brunch yesterday.

As part of the second annual event, he also got a bag with extraordinary swag . . . and more photos. Can you blame them 'cause what a little ham he's turning out to be.
