We celebrated Sadie's big win and learned all about the breed (then had a test!), so now let's bring a piece of this covetable canine home. I've gathered a bunch of Scottie-themed items for you (like that pretty necklace), a Juicy tee for your sweet pooch, and there's even a lil something for the Mister, too.One of my favorite sweaters when I was younger had a tiny black terrier with a tartan bow — check it out these adult appropriate items and, if you own something featuring a Scottish Terrier, tell me all about it in the comments when you're done clicking!
Let's still celebrate this Scottish Terrier with a short quiz. See if you know much about these feisty pups and can pick the right answers when you start now!Take the Quiz
Owned by Amelia Musser of Mackinac Island, MI, she redeemed two previous green carpet flubs — the noisy crowd at the Garden spooked her in 2008 and the famous potty break in 2009 — and now Roundtown Mercedes of Maryscot (aka Sadie) is the 2010 champ!

Don't get jealous lil guy! Seems like Barney (one of the two Scotties belonging to George W. Bush) may sense that another pup – one that we haven't even seen yet! – is already at the top of everyone's list. This pup is still super-duper cute as is his terrier pal, Miss Beazley, both currently residing in the White House. See how Barney greeted an admiring fan, errr reporter, this morning in the video below.
ICYMI, Tatum O'Neal was arrested on Sunday while attempting to purchase crack cocaine. While this is obvs a very serious matter and she said there's no excuse for what she's done – she seems to have found one, placing the blame on her now deceased, 16-year-old Scottie offering this explanation:
"I lost my Scottish terrier, Lena," three weeks ago. "That seemed to set me off. She got old. She got cancer. She was the fabric of our family. We had to let her go to heaven. My daughter and I had to put her down. It was too horrible for words."
Tatum explains that the death of her beloved pet triggered her ongoing battle with "the disease of alcoholism" and memories that her mother passed away from addiction and that she's estranged from her father, Ryan O'Neal. I am by no means making light of her situation, or the death of her dog, but this sounds a tad suspicious to me – after all, there seems to be a difference between alcohol and crack. Do you believe her claims? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
[Note: The picture is of another famous Scottish Terrier, not Lena.]
I must have Scotties on the brain lately! But, it's not just me. I'm seeing their spunky lil silhouette pop up all over the place . . . on TeamSugar, in my May Must Haves, and all over ShopStyle. I've gathered some of the cutest Scottish Terrier gear I could find . . . accessories for you, that is. Check 'em all out – and learn where to pick 'em up – in this slideshow!
Blue sky . . . check. Boat . . . check. Super cute Scottie . . . check. This puppy's Pippi, a Scottish Terrier that loves going camping and getting super dirty. She looks pretty clean here, but I'm thinking this shot was snapped pretty early on the adventure. She's got some Scottie BFFs, Stella and Morty, that she likes to play with . . . and she even shares North's love for peanut butter. Yum! In addition to her other pals, akrsouth recently added another lil pooch to the family – Willa's not even a year old yet but she's already fitting right in with Pippi's chasing and frolicking merriment!
The Scottish Terrier is an alert-looking pooch with a "heads-up, tails-up" attitude – the pointy ears and long muzzle make this one of the most recognizable doggie silhouettes around. Even though when I think of these pups I recall the black ones, they are also allowable in wheaten or brindle of any color. Scotties are small dogs usually weighing around 20 pounds – but what they lack in size, they certainly make up in spirit! According to the AKC breed standard, these trademark terrier characteristics are joined with a very special "varminty" expression. What the heck is varminty? Find out when you read more
