Would You Let a Dog Swim in Your Swimming Pool?

Some friends of mine grew up with two giant Newfoundlands, whose favorite activity was swimming in the family swimming pool.

Some friends of mine grew up with two giant Newfoundlands, whose favorite activity was swimming in the family swimming pool. It was pretty darn cute to see the hairy dogs splashing around in the pool, but as you can imagine, the family had to clean the pool a lot! Would you let a dog swim in your pool?

Ask Casa: Cat Hair on Curtains

Dear Casa, You recently posted a story about hanging curtains.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle

Dear Casa,
You recently posted a story about hanging curtains. All of my curtains have been hanging happily for a while now, but they get a lot of cat hair on them! Taking them down is a pain because the curtain rod has a little screw to keep it from moving around. I live alone, so using the vacuum was scary and I thought I might pull them down. Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks,

I've just added a new product to my cleaning arsenal – this Fur Fighter! I already have a lint brush for my clothes, but this tool's shape is perfect for the quick cleaning of my couch (if I don't want to dig out the Dyson, that is). Want to know what prompted me to pick one up for 10 bucks on a recent trip to Target? Find out when you read more

Keep It Clean With Lint-On-The-Go Sheets

Although North doesn't shed as much as a collie would, I still find stray hairs on my clothes from time to time.

Although North doesn't shed as much as a collie would, I still find stray hairs on my clothes from time to time. I really don't want to carry a big lint roller in my bag (although it's big enough to hold several), especially on those occasions I go out for drinks after work and a roller wouldn't find a place in my clutch. So I was ecstatic when I found these Lint-on-the-Go sheets that can go with me without taking up too much space.

Coming in a pack of 20, these sheets take off lint, fuzzies, and most importantly, pet hair with a few pats. Using them like a glove, you just slide your hand under the clear cover, remove the backing and away it goes. Plus for $12, you really can't beat the convenience. It's like a little Wet Nap for dirty fingers. . . only it's for your clothes!
